COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Farmer Ted’s Cream Ale is an indigenous American beer style created as an answer to post-prohibition German lagers. We pay tribute to the beers made on early, rustic systems by using natural ingredients like corn and barley to create a smooth and full-bodied, straw-colored ale. Reward yourself with a Farmer Ted’s after a long day plowing the fields, or just after mowing the lawn

Not the best from a really good brewery! Just as any summer release, this would be perfect if paired with a hot, humid day or just cruising around on the lake! Wished it would of produced more cream, as I would of liked the sweetness.

Tried on tap at Creekside Tavern. Better than I expected, but that is not saying much. Pours a hazy golden color. Some head that dissipates. All the grains come through in the nose and palate (actually a nice mix of wheat, corn and barley) - not much in the way of hops. So, drinks fairly smooth and refreshing but lacking in the way of interest/taste. Might drink after mowing the lawn.

Poured from a can. Pale yellow with fizzy ivory head. Aroma is grain and a touch of funk. Taste is malt and grain with a strange sweetness that tastes like corn. Light crisp body. Probably not a repeater for me.

Pale golden with a very short-lived head  A weak ale in terms of both aroma and flavor.  Light body; enough carbonation to provide a touch of crispness.   No more flavor, and no better, than a typical light beer.  Hints of corn even. Smooth.

@ Whole Foods Market / Asheville NC --- Clear medium gold amber, rim head, no lace. Taste is souped up MGD - sweet malt with corn that turns fizzy bitter somewhere deep in the palate, then moves to a short finish. It’s not that I can’t easily drink it, in fact, it’s a plus that it drinks easy. It’s just that there are so many better choices at a comparable price.

Draft at Barley’s. Pours a hazy yellow/golden color with a medium sized white head. The aroma and flavor have creamy wheat, corn, mild fruit, floral nose, yeast, softer finish. Alright for what it is, but not something I would revisit.

Draft to taster. Looks solid; a completely transparent light gold with foamy white head. Smells yeasty with a touch of hops. Tastes like it smells with a fairly creamy mouthfeel. Alright.

Can: Pours a nice golden yellow with a big white head. I loved this... but I’m a sucker for a cream ale. Nice and refreshing, light but still packed with some flavor. Grainy... Corny... Tasty.

Draft at the Asheville tap room- Pours a semi-cloudy light gold with no head. Notes of cereal, wheat, florals, straw, and grass. Light-bodied, with moderate carbonatoin. Clean and funky. Nice, fresh take on a cream ale.

Taster on tap at Barley’s during RBWG 2014. Clear orange color. Thin white head. Good citrusy fruity, some apple, pear notes. Passion fruit. Hint of caramel malt. Medium plus body. Smooth, soft, lighter carbonation. More dry finish. Moderate bitter taste, hint of zest, lighter sweet. Bubblegum. Some toasty bread. Enjoyed this one more than I should have, maybe.
