Draft to taster at the new Catawba Valley Tasting Room in Asheville during RBWG. Looks good; a fairly transparent golden orange with white lacing. Smells of balanced hops and pale malt. Tastes like it smells with a solid mouthfeel. Enjoyable.

Draft at tap house. Nose dank hop and faint fruit hop. Taste bitter up front with faint sweet. Mid palate all bitter, and through the finish.

Can. Hazy orange. Not much in the way of aroma. Maybe one too many hops. Nothing stands out as aromatic. Everything else is nice it has a weird aftertaste that lingers but nice semi local canned beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

11/26/13. On tap at Barleys in Asheville. Golden orange pour with a small, frothy off-white head. Mild aroma, mostly malty, some sweet caramel and biscuit, touches of earthy hops. Similarly mild, malty flavor. Doughy, caramel, etc., very little hop presence. Not hoppy enough. Meh.

draft medium orange color with white head. decent lacing. malt aroma with some hops and something funky. the flavor had that same funkiness in it..not sure if it was tap lines or just the way its suppose to taste. didnt find it offensive but just a bit put off.

can. pale gold with a large, fluffy, white head. a spicy and floral hop aroma. this one leans towards bitterness, however, does provide just enough malt sweetness. finished dry and bitter. light body. smooth palate.

On tap at Barleys, Asheville. Fairly translucent golden orange pour, scant head and carbonation. Sweet hop extract and malts in the nose, barely any bite suggested. Thin mouthfeel, a bit slick. Understated hops to say the least, just perfunctory bite and overall sweetness.

Comes out of the tap a nice clear golden with a decent off-white head. Aroma is more fruity than hoppy, but still tempting, and has a hint of caramel. Hops come out in the flavor, though, bitter wood with notes of pomme fruit, citrus and malt and just a whisper of caramel, sweet nicely balancing bitter. Texture is firm and smooth but not too fizzy, and leaves a bitter hoppy finish. Get fired up!
