A hazed reddish amber ale with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with light aniseed, banana esters, light rye, treacle, alcohol warmth, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with light fruity esters, light cloves, banana esters, light treacle, very nice and smooth. On tap at Syracuse Winter Brewfest 2017. Lots of character. Heavy on Malts. Some fruit and cooked grain. Nutty flavor and carbonated scrubs. For the beer lover

Bomber shared by Rob. G; split two ways. Aroma: Light rye with moderate butterscotch and healthy grapefruit. Appearance: Copper body with solid carbonation holding up a tan skin of head. Flavor: Butterscotch, very light rye and gum up front with a building grapefruit hoppiness that joins with something like candy sugar in the finish, which lingers on a bit. Palate: Medium body, tacky texture, average carbonation, lingering finish. Overall: A lot going on that, for me, didn’t seem to jibe together, but not altogether unpleasant. Was able to find a 22 oz. bomber from 2014 at Pacific Liquor in North Park. Pours dark orange/amber with a slight white head that doesn’t retain. Aroma of caramel, brown sugar, bread, grass, earth, resin, somewhat floral. Has a powerful, sweet malt backbone, well rounded by the rye which gives some spiciness. The hops have an astringent bite but it is balanced by the sweetness of the malt. Alcohol presence is relatively low for a 10% abv. beer. Recommended but hard to find. Medium amber, lacey.
Full body, moderate flavor, hot and smooth mouthfeel, short palate.
Bitter but not too dry, well balanced.
Malty, caramel, simple hop flavor, spicy.

Bottle, shared by Willrunfor beer. I know He’Brew has brewed this over again and not sure ho it varies at all from that beer, I mean they have the same exact label for god’s sake.... anyhow... Aroma is light rye, fruit and syrupy malt. Flavor shows rye through the center with light tones of alcohol in the finish. Somehow this is hitting me just like the younger He’brew version seems to have hit me a bit better. Not bad but not getting me excited. WillRunForBeer (2623) - Massachusetts, USA - MAY 7, 2015
Old bomber from my cellar. Brewed at Cathedral Square. Pours amber gold with a beige head. Aroma is quite malty... Caramel, grains, molasses. Flavor is date, raisin, molasses. A touch of rye spice and pine bitterness in the finish. 10% well hidden. Jur (468) - NETHERLANDS - FEB 4, 2015
Bottle @ home.
Clear red copper pour, yellow-orange head. Mild carbonation. Big rye nose. Herby Belgian yeast, smooth sweet-sour rye. Light hoppy finish. On sweet side, but nice. chicagotjm (20) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JAN 9, 2015
Spicy rye + spicy belgian. I didn’t think this was a great combination of flavors and found it to be a bit overpowering. Not something I would try again. Blairgus (4522) - California, USA - JAN 7, 2015
