1 pt., 9 fl. oz bottle. Pours the color of motor oil with a 1 ½ inch creamy head. Thick mouthfeel. Heavy whisky aroma with a hint of cherry. Very forward oak and whisky flavors with the perfect amount of hop bite in the finish. Despite the strong flavors and hop bitterness, the beer is creamy and finishes smooth, which would make it very easy for me to polish off a 22 oz. without noticing!

22oz bottle in a tulip. Pours black with a beige head. Aroma of oak and booze, some metallic off notes, roasted malts, and some dough. Flavor the same. Average texture. Just sort of bad, maybe I waited too long to drink it or something?

The aroma contains lots of bourbon sweetness, some oak, cinnamon and vanilla. Good aroma except for a stainless steel type of scent that was mixed in there. Nice looking flat black color with a big creamy off white head that never quite goes away. Tastes like it smells with a big alcohol burn at the end. I am tasting the oak, spice and sweetness; perhaps if it were aged the burn would not be so strong. I don’t mind a little burn so I won’t knock it down too far for that. The palate is a little watery for such a big beer. Overall I enjoyed it, but I think regular Holy Moly and the now retired Holy Moly 5/7/12 are better. This one would benefit from being more complex. All you get is sweetness, spice and heat.

50cl bottle pours a watery brown with some very frothy, brown head. Nose has some malt, cinnamon, spice, a little raisin. Flavor is malty, cracker, raisin, chile, bread, molasses. Full, peppery finish.
