33cl bottle. The colour is golden, amber or even peachy. The head is a firm foam, and tops a great appearance. This beer comes with a spicy nose, and with some rather unpleasant malt flavours. The mouth is very full of taste, for the beer has a great body. The taste itself hints at lots of grain and herbal notes. The added candy sugar adds a nice cachet to the beer. I’m eager to try my 200cl bottle (!) - thanks to Salmaneser - instead of this small classic 33cl one.

Bottle from Criterion Hotel 280215. Big and boozy. Full bodied and thick n the mouth. Great surprise.

Bottle 33cl. Hazy gold, with a big white top that fades somewhat. Aroma somewhat malty, but the bitterness of the hop is mostly noticeable. The taste is very bitter up front but fades when the taste develops and a then it makes me think of white beer. Not your normal blonde beer, but I quite like it.

ClubGonzo (5568) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAR 13, 2015
Bottle. Pours a pale yellow clear body with a medium fizzy white head. Nose is pale malts, metallic grassy tones, white sugar, red berries and hints of straw and sulfur. Taste is white sugar, mild Belgian yeast tones, straw, pale malts and hints of banana, alcohol and bread dough. Light to medium body, medium to high carbonation. Not too bad, but by far the best of the strong golden Belgians I’ve had.

The aroma is pure, and that’s all that I can say about it, it’s not as aromatic as I tought it would be, I can smell candy and malt. The taste is powerfull, right from the first sip. It’s a little sticky in the mouth.

33 cl bottle from Drink d’Annevoie, BE. Hazy yellow to orange color with a diminishing frothy white head. Aroma: banana, moderate yeasty, sugar, honey, spices, fruits. Flavor: moderate sweet with a light bitter and warming finish. Body is medium, oily with a fizzy carbonation. Quite original !

Je lui trouve un gout de banane en entrée de bouche, mais un gout d’alcool en fin de palais et je n’aime pas trop quand on sent l’alcool dans une bière. Elle mousse beaucoup, elle est trouble et il y a un dépôt de levure très marqué.

0.33 bottle - burst when opened, might impact the rating. Hazy, light, honey color and a small, white head. Strong, sweet smell of elderflower, fruits, pale malts, spices, vanilla, and honey. Taste is also honey like with elderflower, spices, some alcohol, and hops. Light to medium body, slick texture, and lively carbonation. Finish is somehow off, fruity bitter, dry, alcoholic. Overall the beer was rather bad towards the end, not sure how much is due to the beer bursting like champagne - perhaps bad batch.

The blonde Bon-Secours, an ’edelbier’ with quite strong carbonation, soft malt sweet main character, hints of apple and orange, spicy accents and smooth finish of herbal hops and gin-like alcohol. The least appealing Bon-Secours to me.

Hazy golden color with a white head. Yeast and malts in the nose. Taste:a lot of yeast (too much?), Malts, with a good try some fruits in the back (citrus?). Overcarbonated, sweet finish. Not my cup of tea.
