75cl bottle from De Bierkoning, Amsterdam and poured into a snifter on 17-Sep-2016. Hazy reddish brown colour with a medium sized off-white head. Aroma of sweet malt, dark fruits and pine. Medium body and carbonation. Taste of berries, sweet malt, chocolate, caramelised brown sugar and hops. Light bitterness. Well balanced beer - quite liked it, although felt more like an amber ale than a brune. psilosophy (782) - vitry en artois, FRANCE - JUN 23, 2016

Aftertaste: dry, tart, with roasted bitterness.
Not bad. TheFoamhead (260) - Vught, NETHERLANDS - FEB 1, 2016
Dark amber and slightly hazy. Very nice off white head of perfect stability.
The nose is quite sweet, full of milk chocolate, caramel and brown sugars. Maybe some hints of roasetd hazelnut - or just call it Nutella.
The taste is much less sweet than feared, offering a remarkable nutty note, hints of coffee and a well determined bitterness. A good Brune withour star attitue. ruigo (3000) - PORTUGAL - NOV 9, 2015

Bottle 33cl. Clear deep amber, good frothy beige head, diminishing slowly, leaves yeast patches, light lacing; light sour aroma, malts, cherries, strawberries, cinnamon; taste medium sweet and light bitter, malty, bit toffee, light sour on the palate, fruity; medium body, watery to oily texture, average carbonation, aftertaste dry bitter, dusky, chalk, again bit more sour in the finish; peculiar rather complex brew, interesting. tricksta_p (4658) - Steenwijk, NETHERLANDS - OCT 10, 2015
Bottle at home. Aroma of malts, caramel, red fruits, definite spicy notes, cinnamon, some brown sugar, hint of chocolate. Flavour is moderate sweet and light bitter. Body is medium. Pleasantly surprising balanced sweetness for a malty/spicy Belgian Ale. Enjoyable.
