75cl Bottle @ home. Brown coloured beer with medium carbonation and a large white head. Light sweeter malty hinted aroma. Medium to full palate. FInish is sweet light bitter malty hinted with a longer bitter slight herby ending. Medium ale.

Bottle from Terre de Boissons. Calais. Light brown colour. Malt is pretty tasty. Hmmmm. I have had a couple of Belgian brunes recently after going ages without having one and I have decided I really like them. Some estery flavours. Very characterful and interesting and drinkable.

11.2 oz bottle pours deep hazy copper/red with thin airy foam. Overly carbonated so tastes a bit like soda. Do not recommend.

33cl bottle @ home shared with Dutchdrebus. Very hazy dark red, almost purple color, small beige head that leaves fair lacing. Smells like yoghurt, a bit sour and lightly malts. Taste malts, hint of light sourness, slight hint of fruit. Medium carbo, low to medium body.

Bottle thx to benzai. Dark, hazy ruby colour with black particles, like a teabag broke inside the glass, with a small white head. Smells sourish, yoghurt, malts, herbs. Tastes fresh, also some yoghurtness, red fruits and malts. Good carbo, thin to medium body.

33cl Brown bottle, same as everyone else, normal cap, but with the flip-top holes in the long neck: poured slowly into my Augustijn chalice in Sep 2011. Dont think any sediment left the bottle, the beer looked grand anyway: clear, deep amber in colour, the full head an off-white hue. Rows of bubbles rising through the body to enhance the already impressive crown on top. I found Almounds in the smell, earthy malts rather than sweet ones, Belgian yeasts also add their own twist to the aroma. Ive struggled with some Belgian Brown Ales, but this isnt as sweet compared to a lot of them: well balanced and very easy to drink it belies the mith of uber sweet Belgian Browns, bloody pleased. The alcohol content is well contained within the brew and adds to its complexity without taking away any of the many attributes of the beer. In short, a lot better than I thought it was going to be!

Beige creamy head. Light brown colour. Aroma is malty, fruity (peach, banana) with vinous and candy notes, Flavor is malty with fruity (ripe apricots and mango) and light caramel tones, ending in a balanced and gently fruity finish. Medium to full bodied.

Bottle from Belgianshop. Automatic pour, gusher light, murky brown with a tiny off-white head. Aroma of nutty malts, light fruity hops. Taste is fresh with a cellar like dark malty dominated sweetness, lively and fresh citrussy mouthfeel, good brune.

Weak flavor, weak bubbles. A nice aroma. Bottle contained a lot more wort chunks than this style typically has. Slight sour undertones.

coldbrewky (1730) - Hippetown East, New York, USA - AUG 3, 2011
Bottle via bourbon street liquors. Burnt sienna brown with a steady film of tan head. Thinner body. Nose of biting strawberry...not sweet. Hints of spices in body ...faint cinnamon and light clove. finish is abrupt. Curious that this was a capped 330 ml swing top bottle with minus the swing top. For as complex the names of the town and brewery are to comprehend, this beer was fairly one dimensional and a bit lackluster.
