Aroma is moderate malty, molasses - caramel, moderate berry - raisin - plum, light sour - bretty. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and light acidic with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
Degustation at the source. Hazy amber color. Dusty caramel aroma. Taste is lightly sour caramel. Interesting. Papsoe (25054) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - OCT 24, 2009
Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a deep amber with big chunky floaties with an off-white head - rather disgusting looking really. Aroma of dried fruit and a yummy Bretty edge. Medium body, heavy carbonation, dried frut and dry burned caramel. Dry and astringent finish. 241009 harrisoni (19553) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - JAN 28, 2013
Bottle from Terre de Boissons. Calais. Light brown colour. Malt is pretty tasty. Hmmmm. I have had a couple of Belgian brunes recently after going ages without having one and I have decided I really like them. Some estery flavours. Very characterful and interesting and drinkable. yngwie (17284) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - FEB 27, 2010
Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. An unclear, murky brown beer with a fine beige head leaving lacings. Sourish nose, citrus and lemon, with some dried fruits and caramel. Citrusy flavor with caramel and some cellar. Yeasty notes too. Dry. Sour and bitter finish. Where the Blond was a pleasant, tasteful beer, this one is almost the opposite. 091024

Bottle, 6.8%. Mild spicy aroma. Cloudy dark brown colour. Small stable tan head. The flavour is OK malty with a little brett note which freshens it up and balances it off nicely. bhensonb (15976) - Woodland, California, USA - SEP 13, 2010

Bottle @ Delirium, Brussels.
Pours clear chestnut brown with a medium, creamy, off-white head. Great lacings. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel, coriander and a great hint of strawberries. Medium carbonation, dry and light creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is lovely, malty, molasses, coriander, light cinnamon. Lovely dry and quite hoppy sharp finish. Extremely well-balanced beer.
