COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We created an amazing farmhouse style saison with the addition of cardamom seeds in the boil; complete, with an aroma filled with everything that embodies a great saison plus the exotic flavors of cardamom. Known as the "mother of all spices", cardamom incorporates lemon, mint, pepper, and floral notes. Perhaps the most complex saison you’ve ever had, and we won’t be offended when you ask to card your mom.

Crisp, very hazy golden coloured body with a thick-ish, three centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of grass, coriander seed, wheat and a bunch of spices, but ginger is front and centre with some curacao and cardamom noticeable, but the ginger is strong. Medium-bodied; Assertive spices at first with a good wheat and malt kick showing some light sweetness at the end, but this is all about the spices and a touch of the pungency from the yeast strain near the end. Aftertaste shows a ton of spices, a lot of wheat and yeast complexities, with some mellow sweetness at the end, and a hint more of the spices noticeable, but making it more complex and enjoyable. Overall, a nice and very spicey saison with some lighter characteristics, but less of the wheat and dryness and way more of the spicey side of things, not in terms of 'heat', but actual spices in the kettle. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Total Beverage in Thornton, Colorado on 04-June-2017 for US$1,89 sampled at home in Washington on 18-September-2017.

Tap at The Jailhouse in Buena Vista. Orange color. Yeast and some spice. Cardamom is oreset i the flavor but more so in the aroma and it leaves a slight grit on the palate.i think this is minimally sweetened. I like it.

Can. Head is initially small, fizzy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is medium yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), with strong notes of grains of paradise, eucalyptus, sage, clove, coriander, peppercorns, etc. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately bitter, heavily spiced. Medium body, watery texture, lively/fizzy carbonation, lightly alcoholic. Ugh, seriously? This thing is wayyyyyy overspiced. Far from a saison in any way, basically just a watery spice bomb, it barely even resembles beer. Insulting to the style.

Growler shared with Gabe and Marilyn. Pours a medium, well retained white head, with extensive lacing, over a clear gold (SRM 5) body......nose is light toasted malts, cardamom, light citrus, no hops.......taste is lightly sweet, with floral notes, cardamom, citrus notes, mild finishing spice, hop bitterness........mouth feel, light of medium body, mild alcohol, light carbonation. This is a pleasant easy drinking beer, but a relatively light Saison. It also misses the style being sweet, needing greater attenuation, and lacking the pepper phenolics. Perhaps a change of yeast, different fermentation temperature, with a longer fermentation would correct. BJCP 7/3/12/4/6

On tap at the brewery. Gold, pale and hazy with a small white head. Floral, herbal aroma with notes of citrus, earth and spices. Similar flavor, mildly sweet and tangy with light bitterness. Light to medium body with a crisp, dry feel and a refreshing finish. Tasty.

On tap at the Lakewood Location. Pour is hazy honey with a small white head and good lacing. Spice, big floral, honey, lavender, light vanilla, ginger root, and dough in the aroma. Taste is heavy lavender, somewhat peachy, biscuit, flower petals, grassy, cardamom, clove, and hibiscus with a lightly spicy finish. Light body with high carbonation. Decent saison, but if you are not a fan of cardamom or lavender you should avoid this one.

Hazy murky golden with a thin foamy white head. Nose is very clove-y and funky with cardamom and Belgian witte spices. Flavor is a little sweet and raisin-y with a backing note of cardamom and funky earthy blonde grains and Belgian pale maltiness. Earthy and oddly sweet with some Spanish cake tones.

Pours a hazy yellow, orange with a white head. Smells of cities, spice and a bit of alcohol. It is tasty. Nice sweet citrus, good spice, pretty session able.

Tap @ Colorado Craft Beer Kickoff Week at Falling Rock. Pours a bit hazy, orangish yellow appearance with a small white head. Holy christ, the aroma is just overrun by cardamom, pepper, and other spices with some other slight notes of citrus. The flavor is similarly super spicy, orange citrusy, zesty, and supposedly easy to drink. I wasn’t a big fan of this one, but I heard others at the fest that enjoyed it.

On tap at Caution! poured a clear tarnished gold with a lingering ring of white foam. Aromas of straw, cardomom, yeast and light citrus. Palate was light bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of straw, cardomom, yeast and light citrus with a crisp dry lingering cardomom finish.
