Keg at Mrs Parmas, Melbourne, Victoria. Hazy mahogany colour, mid sized head. Chocolaty nose. Mid dry with light body and clean mouthfeel. Chocolate and crystal malt, notes of wood and caramel. Light grassy bitterness. Interesting. gnoff (10711) - Mölndal, SWEDEN - AUG 26, 2013

Black color, tan head. Sweet, hoppy, malty taste. Grainy, hoppy aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel, medium high bitterness. Sweet, malty, caramel scent.
330ml bottle. Very highly carbonated as there is a big whoosh when you pop the cap and the glass fills with heaps of loosely condensed brown foam that takes a while to a settle. The beer itself is a dark brown colour and looks solid. Aromas of coffee beans and chocolate. Lively in the mouth with lots of chocolate in the flavour, very tasty. hawthorne00 (3986) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - JUN 3, 2011
Bottle, 9C. Lovely clear mahogany with a light beige head that laces well. Aroma of toffee, nuts, raisins, a little chocolate, grass. Velvety mouthfeel. Taste is rich and sweet at first with toffee and butterscotch, raisins, dates. Bitterness creeps up and balances nicely - some roasted, some pine and grass. The somewhat buttery English style malts married with American hops might bother some, but worked fine for me. Pine really creeps up at the end. Tasty. gam (3956) - brisbane, AUSTRALIA - DEC 30, 2011

Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours chestnut brown with a small, firm off white head. Nose is loaded with chocolate malts and light nutty under tones. Slightly sweet and biscuity in the taste but the chocolate shines in this. Slightly ashy on the finish. Seems to be half way between a brown and a porter. Nice beer Davros (3208) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - DEC 20, 2011
Pours black with ruby highlights and a large, lasting head.
Nose shows chocolate, roasted malt, nutty notes and, later on, some coffee. Pretty decent.
Similar flavours really; cocoa, coffee, roasted malt. Could use more sweetness/less roasty coffee.
Carbonation is pretty much spot-on, however it could use a lighter body. bluevegie (3073) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - FEB 18, 2014
On tap at Harts Pub, muddy dark brown looking body, touch of coffee on the nose then some vanilla, choc notes in the taste with roasted bitterness, smooth and easy drinking just probably let warm up a tad but didn’t have a chance. ALLOVATE (3029) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - DEC 15, 2016

Excited about this one as I can’t fault the other beers of this brewery, so into a snifter at just on cool it goes. Deepest ruby cola body that shimmers in the lights. Big, foamy, whipped up dollop of cream settles atop. Sultry, milk chocolate, roasted carob, almond meal, earth, a touch of rust and buttery brioche on the nose. A malt driven madman on the palate with a lot of funky nuances keeping it interesting. Hints of plum, raisin toast, green peppercorn, charred wood and earth mingle with a good base of creamy chocolate and dusty malts. Sweet front balanced by a drawing dryness mid-palate and tangy, mildly bitter fruit finish. Medium to medium light body with good presence. Carbonation is spritzy to low. Light diacetyl as in the nose adds complexity. I really enjoyed this one. Sessionable or just good as a solo brew!!! (33cL, no date stamp, Boozebud)
Bottle, Hoo Haa Bar, Brisbane
Deep ruby body, holds a off-white head.
Nice nose; plenty of hop citrus & pine to accompany rich toffee, biscuit, nuts & chocolate.
Full body, plenty of texture, good carbonation.
Good hit of nutty, toffee, biscuity malt with notes of chocolate & spicy hop. Long finish, plenty of bitterness.
