Bottle 750ml. corked.
[ As Cave de Mirande Cidre Doux ].
Light unclear matt medium yellow - amber orange color with virtually no head. Aroma is moderate apple, sour apples, sweet apples, wood. Flavour is moderate to light light heavy sweet with a average to long duration, sweet apples, apples, wood notes. Body is medium, texture is watery, carbonation is flat.
Bottle from cidery stall in St Helier. It pours hazy orange with a quickly dissipating head. The nose is earthy, light funk, apple skin, fruit pie, light vinous and barnyard. The taste is sweet-sour, apple pie, wine gums, sherbet, apple skin, white sugar, earthy and light barnyard, with a lightly sweet finish. Light body and fine, prickly carbonation. Nice hints of earthy barnyard funk about it, but too sweet on the taste for my liking. Good stuff anyhow. saxo (19522) - Højbjerg, Aarhus, DENMARK - SEP 30, 2014

Bottle @ Aarhus tasting. Light hazy with a tiny off-white head. Aroma is sweet, apples, apple juice and a hint of sulfur. Flavor is medium sweet. Sweet finish. A decent cider no doubt, but I have had many way better ciders from France. 240914

Rating from the summer. The green green grass of apples. Lots of fresh apple nose, very dry clean taste. Very nice and dry. biggirlpanties (204) - Oceanside, California, USA - JUN 12, 2012
Bottle from the source, a little farmhouse out in Normandy. Very sweet lady and her dog greeted us. We sampled the ciders and the sweet one (doux) was the best of the samples so bought two bottles. One to share with GT2’s tasting group and one to crack in France. Unfortunately, this woman’s ciders were so good that we should have bought 2-3 of each but our luggage weight was maxed out after a trip to Cave a Bulles in Paris. craftycarl21 (2338) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JUN 12, 2012
Poured hazy peach juice with sparkling carbonation. Peach, mango, vanilla aroma. Tastes heavenly with yellow fruit medley, tropical melons, rich peach yogurt. Essentially, ambrosia. I cannot believe the complexity of this one given it is only apples (probably a mix at that). And GT and I were kicking ourselves for passing up on their pear cider. Bahhh! Okay, we’re going back to France and trying to find even more random cideries because this one among others was a gold mine!
Thanks GT! Hazy peach colored pour. Dry apple skin, and I mean really bone dry. Lip smacking dry tartness that attacks the gums, though a touch of sweet apple sneaks in before yielding to the barrage of dryness. Man do I love it. MrChopin (4305) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - APR 2, 2012
transparent shimmering gold, thin white small bubbled ring. Nose is musty apple skin, honey, light toast, very bright and refreshing. Flavor shows more apple skin, lightly granny smith, plenty of honey sweetness but dry finish, sticky with light pineapple.
