"A true seasonal beer, as refreshing as it should be! Taste it in the summer, sitting at a terrace table … " Originally, season beer was a beer brewed before the summer and intended for summer-season farmhands. It had low alcohol content and a marked bitterness that made it really refreshing. We wanted to offer a truly seasonal Season with production limited in time. As Laurent Agache’s

Pours a fairly hazy holden with a medium white head that leaves super nice lacing. Nose is of pink peppercorn, flowers and other kinds of pepper (green?). Taste is of slight dill, more pepper and completely dry. Moderately bitter. Body is light to medium and carbonation moderately high. Crackery cereals in the finish. Good rusticity. Overall a nice saison with just enough elderflowers so that they are noticeable but not too much where you’d get straight pickle juice.

pours unclear bright gold with a nice creamy white head offering good retention and lacing. tons of pepper - multicolored and exotic pepper berries; elferflower, grassy nobleness, crisp lightly fruity pale cereals, peppery exotic fruit perhaps if it exists, tropical touch, lemon and lime peel, lightly astringent woodsy notes, fruity and zesty seaiisaon yeast, minerals, salt. healthy carbonation, light body, drying citrusy-spicy-peppery finish. thoroughly enjoyed this elderflower saison.

UPDATED: OCT 11, 2016 Bottle from The Bottle Lab, Leek. Pours a clear golden colour with a foamy white head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, lemon, elderflower, some pepper, a little vanilla and subtle spicy hops. Taste of Belgian yeast, elderflower, some pepper, slight lemon, a little vanilla and spicy, herbal hops. Medium bodied and moderate carbonation. A lingering, dry, spicy, herbal hop bitterness in the finish. A dry, yeasty, peppery and herbal saison. Simple for it style but good.

(33 cl.

Bottle (330 ml). Best before 16/07/2017, Thanks to SlovakSniper for this one! Clear bright golden with a small white head, good retention, leaving little lacing. Aroma is soft with flowers and cereals as the main features but also backed by mild spiciness/peppery presence, farmhouse notes and mild lemony notes. Taste is also quite floral with cereals taking a lot of place in the flavor profile. There’s also peppery notes, lemon/lime and mineral notes. Medium body. Bright carbonation. Dry and floral finish with a mild refreshing lemony touch. A simple yet effective and quenching cereal forward Saison. Quite dry. Good.

Note: 7+/10

Bottle from bartlebier, many thanks! Trübes goldgelbes Bier mit durchschnittlicher Schaumkrone. Malzig, hefig, blumig, etwas Pfeffer, leicht fruchtig, spritzig, sehr erfrischend.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Light yellow colour, billowing white head, lots of carbonation. Unusual mixture of a very fizzy and dry beer with the rich sweetness of the elderflower. The whole ended up a tiny bit cloying and less drinkable. Interesting though - I’d have it again but wouldn’t necessarily hunt it down.
