"Tournay Triple is seductively strong Triple beers traditionally contain more malt, and are therefore stronger. But the original idea behind Tournay Triple was to produce a very hopped beer rather than a strong one. When creating all our beers, we want to preserve a balance between the tastes and to ensure that each ingredient can be expressed without crushing the others. To respond to the bitterness of the hops, we therefore had to brew a solidly-built beer, whence the choice of a high alcohol content (more than 9% ABV). Although we had quickly succumbed to the very particular flavours of the New Zealand hop, Nelson Sauvin, many tests were necessary to find the right marriage with other hops, including the English Fuggles, and Cascade, which is the hallmark of all our beers except for Saison. The perfecting of our Triple was therefore a labour of Hercules but it was well worth the trouble!"

Bottle of 33cl, in a Tulip glass ; from the fridge. Nice triple. Were in front of a usual but good heavy blond orange beer, with a foamy white head, with dry-hopping. The result is obvious : more sweet than bitter... Still nice, but kind of taste like usual big brand beers. The palate is not very long...

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were quickly diminishing and left behind a no visible carbonation hazy with floating yeast chunks dark yellow orange colored body and a poor lacing. The weak aroma was malt hop. The sharp semi-thick mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a lingering hoppy aftertaste. The ok flavor contained notes of vinous candy hops and malt. An OK brew just nothing special.

Pours a three finger white head that fades quickly leaving no lace. Hazy amber color, with a ton of yeast left in bottle. Good carbonation and medium bodied. Light grapefruit hop nose, flavor is mellow grapefruit hops and caramel. $1.95 for a 330ml bottle from Colonial Spirits Acton, MA.

Tasted last 7 years many times. Last from 75 cl @ home with Rob end may. Almost clear darker golden to orange color, with a big (off-)white head. Aroma : bit yeast, some fruits, little spice, and. Medium body. Taste: softsweet start, complex, fruits, again yeast notes, good hopsbitterness. Stay a nice tripel.

clear yellow orange, smooth offwhite head. quote nice typically belgian boozy aroma, but a little bit less wild yeasts and a little bit more bitter hops. judging from aroma this can go any way. in some sense also has notes typically seen in barley wine ( quote malt forward ). flavor is malty and boozy and caramelly. i think i have notes of wood but it is likely just something resembling wood. quite woody though. The hop composition is clear in the flavor, which is sort of half english half nelson sauvin. Very tasty in fact.

Rami Rami is drinking a Tournay Triple by Brasserie de Cazeau at Powiśle Bardzo intensywno kwiatowo-miodowy, troche przyprawowy. Slodki. Dwa problemy: niskie wysycenie i daje wrazenie sztucznosci
