Normandy, fertile in all its productions of cider, is also famous for its pear cider. Our pear cider is derived from the slow fermentation of a pear juice according to the same production processes as our ECUSSON ciders.

Bottled. Paler than yellow colour with no head. Aroma is pears, some slight sweet apples, wood and mild spicyness. Flavour is pears, apples, some slight wooden, cheesy and spicy notes. Smooth to drink and quite bodied for being only 2 % in ABV.

Papsoe (25054) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - FEB 25, 2006
(Bottle 75 cl) Pours a very pale golden with no head. Weak, sourish nose. Very light-bodied with light - but very authentic - accents of pear. Marked, fresh acidity all the way through to the finish. 250206

Corked bottle
Blond color; fizzy; poor head. It has a sweet aroma of apples and pears, a bit woody. It’s medium-sweet, but I expected more body (indeed at the end is quite dry, with a light astringency); it has a fruity flavor, but nothing exciting. Soft drink.

75cl bottle from Auchan. Hazy green gold colour with thin white head. Sweetish pear aroma. Sweet pear juice in mouth. I mean it’s 2%, but it’s just so refreshing. Slightly alcoholic pear juice. Nice drink. Fleshy pear taste. Tad too sweet, but there are decent acids all the way through.

750ml bottle (Kaubamaja, Tallinn)
6 Such a fruity aroma - both apple and pear esters. Slightly aged feel to it too, smells like its own cork.
2 Pale yellow. Big brief fizzy head on pouring. Spontaniously bubbles after that.
6 Like the aroma, this is just pure fruit juice. A little like Anna’s parents’ dried pear slices - lovely fruit sugars - almost chewy.
3 Thin but refreshing palate. Acitity crispens it nicely, giving a a nice tingle and a twang in the finish. Pear flavours live on, but are mellow and subdued.
13 2%? Hahah - I’m drinking this at work! Goddamn, if they did a 4% or a 6% version of this I’d buy it in an instant!

Bottle, 750ml, cork & wired. Greenish yellow, carbonated, no head. Just the fact that it was my first French Perry made me do it, its not really an alcoholic drink, its more pear juice lightly fermented. Acidic notes, quite fresh, a little too sweet. Nothing I would return to.

Bottle. Frothy white fair fully deminishing head, but at least it has one!!!! Very powerfull nice pear aroma! Light acetic and bitter flavor. Really nice cider. Dry palate.

bu11zeye (13239) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - OCT 21, 2010
(750ml bottle, 2009 vintage) Pours a clear pale yellow body with a small fizzy white, quickly diminishing, white head. Aroma of apple, pear, and mustiness. Flavor of sugary pear, earth, and light funkiness with a spritzy mouthfeel and a dry finish. Nice perry.

Hansen (8618) - Assentoft, DENMARK - DEC 30, 2006
Difficult to rate. Has a nice pure pear-aroma and flavor. Light orange colour, with a little bit of red. Has a real head, white, but not very lasting. Flavor has a medium acidity.

blutt59 (6598) - Dallas, Texas, USA - NOV 7, 2010
bottle, thanks to bu11zeye, golden color with aroma of dry pears, pear skins, flavor is dry tart pear juice, carbonated
