Unfiltered in bottle and keg.
Pierre Celis created the original Hoegaarden beer in the early 1960s. Interbrew-Labatt bought the brand and the brewery in the 1980's. Pierre Celis formed a new brewery in Austin Texas, brewing the same beer but under the brand name Celis White. Miller bought the Celis brewery and the Celis White brand-name in 1996. The brewery closed in 2000. In late 2002 Michigan Brewing bought the Celis White brand from Miller. Brouwerij Van Steenberge is now brewing the original Pierre Celis White under the brand-name Celis White in Europe and Ertveld's Wit in North America.

Delikatna siarka w aromacie. Mocno kolendrowy, trochę pomarańczy, wodnisty, lekki, smaczny.

On keg at Six Degrees North, Edinburgh. Appearance - hazy golden with a decent head and a slight haze. Nose - creamy banana and geraniums. Chantilly cream. Taste - candied orange and cream. Cremola foam. Palate - light bodied with a creamy texture and a long elegant creamy finish. Overall - like a wit, me! And this is authentic.

Draught at Brālis alus krogs, Rīga. Witbier yellow, cloudy. You know what youre getting. Small white head which leaves a surprising amount of lacing. Ground coriander and mothballs dominate the artificial but not altogether unpleasant aroma. Sweet taste with a lemony posset note. Just that little bit sickly to make 500ml hard going. Medium to long sour/sweet finish. More stale spice cupboard coriander with lemon curd. This is a no from me.

Bottle. hazy pale yellow with small thin white head. Aroma very similar to hoegaarden: some sourness, floral and perfume. I find taste a bit weak. wheat, sparkling water. Lots of carbonation. Watery texture and feel.

Probably classic and true to style but overall rather boring. Taste of unmalted wheat, coriander. Dry and no sweetness

The grandaddy of blanches. Nose of scallops, lemon juice and orange cordial. Mouth full of coriander, which gets sweeter like nutmeg. Fantastic summer day calls for a fantastic summer beer.
