Pierre Celis created the original Hoegaarden beer in the early 1960’s. Interbrew-Labatt bought the brand and the brewery in the 1980's. Pierre Celis formed a new brewery in Austin Texas, brewing the same beer but under the brand name Celis White. Miller bought the Celis brewery and the Celis White brand-name in 1996. The brewery closed in 2000. In late 2002 Michigan Brewing bought the Celis White brand from Miller. Brouwerij Van Steenberge is now brewing the original Pierre Celis White under the brand-name Celis White in Europe and Ertveld's Wit in North America.

Cloudly off yellow hue with a decent creamy white head. Fresh, crisp citrussy and wheaty nose. This follow through to the flavour which is wheaty and orangey with a crisp off dry finish.

Cana en Cimmeria 25.. 07..2017. (r462). Color amarillento pajizo velado con poca espuma blanca. Sabores frescos cereales y cítricos herbáceos. Muy parecido a un refresco con algo de gas. Cuerpo ligero fácil de beber algo espumoso. Normal.

To be honest, I wasn’t very impressed with this beer. The typical witbier aromas and flavors were present but not pronounced and it was too carbonated. Fairly forgettable............I’d rather just have Hoegaarden.

At ’t Oud Clooster, Ghent. Pours clear pale yellow with a lasting, foamy, white head. The aroma contains wheat, yeast, banana, spices and citrus. It tastes light sweet, light sour and light spicy bitter. Medium to light body, watery texture, fizzy carbonation. Not overwhelming in any aspect, but nice enough and quenching.

Erzengel (8768) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - JUN 10, 2017
Smooth fresh mild beginning. Lots of fresh herbs with apricots. Great fresh and highly drinkable, lots of yeasty smooth herbs. Great fresh dry fruity aftertaste. Great Wit!!

Pale yellow color with white head. Aroma is spicy and a little hint of cheese. Taste of a Light Belgian white. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Delikatna siarka w aromacie. Mocno kolendrowy, trochę pomarańczy, wodnisty, lekki, smaczny.

AshtonMcCobb (6613) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - APR 20, 2017
On keg at Six Degrees North, Edinburgh. Appearance - hazy golden with a decent head and a slight haze. Nose - creamy banana and geraniums. Chantilly cream. Taste - candied orange and cream. Cremola foam. Palate - light bodied with a creamy texture and a long elegant creamy finish. Overall - like a wit, me! And this is authentic.

Maits (492) - ESTONIA - APR 12, 2017
Hazy dark golden beer with small white head. Aroma is floral, citrus. Taste is medium sour and wheat, maybe little watery. Medium body. Descent witbier.
