We don’t serve food in our tasting room but let’s be honest...beer is food. Here’s your dessert! Loaded with two varieties of Cocoa Nibs from Ecuador and Ghana and Vanilla Beans from Papua New Guinea this beer has some pretty exotic ingredients (straight up).

brokensail (16486) - Dublin, California, USA - FEB 9, 2016
On tap @ Cellarmaker. Black in color with a khaki head. There’s some nice fruity cocoa notes here. Plenty of bitter roasted malt and dark chocolate, too. Some hints of caramel, molasses, and maybe a touch of cream. Decent sweetness, but well balanced by the bitterness of the chocolate. Vanilla is there, but not overly sweet either. Smells excellent and taste is still pretty good.

Nice robust stout (though a little small for your typical imperials). Smooth lactic quality, chocolate and a dense complex bittersweet cocoa nose and especially flavor.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a ruby and copper tinged black with a thin tan head. Soy sauce, cocoa, light fruit. Medium bodied, roast, big milk chocolate sweetness, loads of chocolate syrup. Sweet and warm, long roast. Tastes like the leftover milk after eating cocoa puffs. Very tasty.
