Keg at Beavertown Extravaganza 2017. It pours opaque jet black with a medium tan head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, charred wood, touch of smoke, sweet, unctuous, sticky, oily, vanilla, toasted marshmallow and a touch of spice. The taste isrich roasted malt, dark chocolate, warming alcohol, wood, tobacco toasted marshmallow, rocky road, vanilla, spice, a touch of coffee grounds and some warming alcohol through the finish. Draught at the brewery. Pours opaque black with a faint, bubbly beige head, short retention. Heavy chocolate and roast malt, prunes, spicy Rye Whiskey, bitters, vermouth and a medium dry finish. Full body and medium carbonation.

Sample at GABF 10/07/2017, thanks to my bro for assistance with note-taking. Black pour with a medium tan head that diminishes gradually. Patchy lacing. Aroma of oak, malt, chocolate and dark fruit. Bitter finish with roasted malts, chocolate, bourbon, oak, dark fruits, coffee and a bit of licorice. Very nice imperial stout. Nose is sticky toffee, dark chocolate melt, mellow oak, black peppery spice, fruit rinds.
Taste comprises chocolate, molasses, moderate bourbon pitch, light black peppery spice, rich roast, dates.
Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a restrained boost.
