Tap into a half nonic pint glass showing pitch black with half a finger of quickly dissipating lightly tanned foam.
The nose shows strong espresso, roasted coffee bean along with a nice mix of dark chocolate.
The palate is fully carbonated and medium bodied. No alcohol heat with a very light lactose sweetness but practically dry. Light coffee tartness, mocha forward with dark coffee notes in between, dark chocolate bitterness on the finish with a resurgence of caramel and mocha that goes on a while. kevinsenn (2406) - Waterloo, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 24, 2017

On tap at the brewery. It pours very dark brown with a light tan head. The aroma is rich with milk chocolate and roasted malt. Creamy with light vanilla notes. The flavor has chocolate with a decent amount of acidity, but creamy on the palate. The smoke comes through in the finish after some nice potent coffee. Really drinkable. No heavy roast, alcohol or bitterness. Well done.

On tap @ Beachwood Brewing. Black in color with a tan head. Smells amazing. Vanilla, hazelnut, and tons of coffee. Pretty creamy and chocolate forward. Slight smoke and a fair bit of roast. There is a lot more smoke and bitterness to the flavor. Slight creamy sweetness of vanilla and roasted nuts. Slight ash, lots of cocoa, and bitter dark chocolate. Pretty good stuff. culchiem (4389) - Berlin, GERMANY - JUL 1, 2015

Pours black with a medium sized, light mocha colors head that slowly recedes to the edges where it lingers.
Flavor has a medium light sweetness with moderate chocolate notes. Moderate coffee and roast with some light smoke notes. Some light dark fruit character with plum, raisin cherry. Moderate vanilla with some light alcohol spice.
