On tap @ Caps & Taps. Orange beer with a white head. Dankness here. Lots of pineapple, mango, peach, and green onions. There’s a strong watermelon note to the flavor in particular. I get a good bit of sweet and juicy fruits, but it’s also decently bitter. Kind of a lemon rind and pine forward finish. Maybe had too high of expectations, still I thought this was good, not great.

On tap at OH. Pours clear deep gold, thin white head. Aroma is sweet malt, citrus, funky yeast, pineapple. Flavor is much of the same, not a huge fan of the yeast they used TBH. Also not as fresh as I would have liked.

On tap at Cellarmaker. It pours a clear pale gold color with a white head. The aroma has some onion, tangerine and mango. The flavor is grassy with tangerine and some herbal hops. Hints of onion. There’s some citrusy grapefruit and lime near the finish. Restrained bitterness with some honey-like maltiness in the background. Good.

Deep orange in color... Aroma of citrus, tropical fruits... Flavor is sticky and dank, lots of tropical fruitiness to balance out hop character... Notes of mango, guava... Really nice DIPA ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Growler shared by Jackl - thanks!! Slightly hazy, light amber in color, nice white head. Big citrus hoppy nose. Really nice showcase of a massive hoppy beer. Delicious.

They definitely like their dank! Has a bit of an earthy feel to it, almost like mushrooms. Not a ton of citrus on this one, but doesn’t come off as 8.6% either. Solid overall, but not my favorite dipa.

TheAlum (7164) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - APR 5, 2016
Growler shared by jackl. Thanks, bro. Pours a decent darker hazed golden amber hue. A bit dulled with good carbonation, frothy offwhite head atop stays fairly sizable and laces nicely. Aromas are punch and fruity, tropical fruit and bitter citrus rind meet firmer florals, some deadened cereal and nectar like elements. Initial is medium bodied, perhaps a bit lighter, with firm fresh hop presence. Trendy tangy tropical fruit appeal, firm bitterness throughout and a gentle spiciness. A little soapy, floral as we turn the corner, this one keeps a light enough maltbill that it never interferes really with any of the hop presence. Fairly fresh and on point. Really nice stuff.

Tap: Lacks head and lace. I found it closed and then just heavy and bitter on the palate.

TheHOFF43 (2052) - Robbinsdale, Minnesota, USA - APR 2, 2016
Growler shared by jackl. Pours a clear gold, minimal head. Aroma is tons of floral, oniony hops. Taste is more of the same. Really nice, clean hops with minimal malts. Ideal new style IPA.

Growler shared by Jack, thanks! Pours a clear dull gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a decent amount of sweet onion, pine and resin with some sweet grains underlying. Flavor has strong sweet onion with sweet grains and hint of pine underlying.
