Very dark red, small head. Rich malty body, touch of roast. Some green hops in the finish. Pleasant crisp carbonation, plenty of caramel, or even treacly, retronasals. Not tremendously exciting, but pretty solid.

TaxiDriver (1779) - Stadland, GERMANY - OCT 21, 2011
Bottle. A very malty smell, some chocolate, light touch of bread. The small white head has a short duration, the body is dark red to brown. A nice taste of roasted malt, chocolate, a quite bitter finish. The body is light to medium strong, creamy and a little bit dry in the finish with a soft carbonation.

3.3
Quack-Duck (9490) - Down South, GERMANY - JAN 17, 2015
bottle from Bierzwerg. Clear deep red-brown colour, off-white head. Malty start with some dry roasty flavours, shy hints of dusty-grassy hops. Not as dry as a Schwarzbier - some quite nice dark malty flavours ere there.

(Bottle 50 cl) Very dark - almost cola colour - with a reddish glow and a huge head. Malty with some lightly burned notes. Light without being watery. Dry finish. Well made harmonious beer.

50cl flip-top bottle bought in Germany. Pours a deep red-black with a fast disappearing off-white head. Faintly bready aroma with a little hay. Medium bodied with malt and burnt toffee character, notes of dried dates and a little dark chocolate. The aftertaste is roasty and bitter along with some herby hops.
