Bottle from Oddbins London Bridge. Drunk on the train to Ashford. Now I love me a biere de garde. There will also be a shed load of WWI beers released this year. Hoppy aroma with some Flanders yeast too. Sweeter in the mouth than I expected. Decent though. Decent hop on the finish. Reminds me of a low powered American Red. Decent. Bit too sweet maybe. johndoughty (5445) - cheslyn hay, West Midlands, ENGLAND - FEB 13, 2014
Bottle. Brown and clear with a small head. Fruity with some hops. A great example of a great style. Benzai (15602) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - JAN 17, 2014
Bottle [thanks to jmgreenuk] @ home. Clear rusty orange color, medium to full sized off-white head that lasts for a long time and leaves good lacing. Aroma is surprisingly hoppy and fruity. Taste malts, hops, a touch of dried fruits, pretty bitter. Medium body, medium carbonation. Nice beer for sure, but whether it really is a biere de garde? I doubt it. Pretty enjoyable nevertheless. Bottle bb 08/07/14. Pours a light orange amber with a thin white head. Pretty big toasty bread aroma with marmalade and tangerine, nice. Light to medium body, medium carbonation. Marmalade on toast, some grapefruit, a little apple, sherbet, some wood and hint of caramel. I liked this, tasty. aenima (335) - Askim, SWEDEN - JAN 5, 2014
Citrusy aroma. The taste is citrusy with a little caramel. Dry and balanced finish. Low carbonation.

330ml botte, pours murky orange brown with a small head. french yeast character with an overdose of hops. Lots of orange, spice, lime marmarlade. Finish is bitter, a bit of paracetamol edge. Finish fruity hoppy and bitter. Low carb. Good jerd16 (226) - Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - DEC 26, 2013
UPDATED: MAR 27, 2014 Clear burnt orange body with small white head. Aroma is subdued - a little smoky, hint of citrus. Definitely contradicts the taste.
T - Some toffee malt lies beneath an overpowering medicinal taste - almost throat lozenge-esque. Fairly dry and finishes with a fiery-bitter tail. planky84 (3259) - Lee, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 26, 2013
Bottle from Utobeer market stall. Gold pour with a thin white head. Vanilla, citrus and sweet spice aroma. Vanilla, peach and bitter citrus flavour. Sharp, bitter finish . Marduk (7694) - Reval, ESTONIA - DEC 26, 2013
330ml bottle. Clear amber color. Small size, white head, stays. Looks nice. Sourish, fruity, malty notes in aroma. Sweet, fruity, juicy mellow bitterness in taste. Grapefruit in aftertaste. FatPhil (16102) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - DEC 21, 2013
330ml bottle (Drink Shop, Tallinn)
Slightly stodgy malty aroma, nice rough grungy edge, farmhousey, touch of onion. Mid orange, with a sticky medium head. Grungier in the mouth, perhaps too much so. Smooth palate, soft carbonation. Lots of husks, a bit rough. Certainly has that French twist, but it’s not doing it for me. Possibly this is mood. Anna was 3.low for it.
