Flavoursome strong pale ale, full of grapefruit aromas.
This commanding IPA-style beer is golden in colour, with a wave of hop aromas leading to a balance of bitterness and sweetness in the flavour, plus a lasting grapefruit finish. Hops used: Chinook, Citra, Magnum, Nelson Sauvin

BB 27.04.2014. Poured a cloudy/hazy golden honey amber colour with a thin white bubbly head that laced poorly. Very low carbonation as seen by a few fine bubbles forming poorly defined trails. Aroma of malt with a hint of citrus/lemon. Taste has plenty of bitterness from start to finish. Light body. Smooth mouthfeel but a lot of bitterness. Not that nice of a beer.

seritomi (363) - Budapest, HUNGARY - SEP 2, 2013

agent_persik (759) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - SEP 1, 2013
Clean amber color, medium white head. Aroma of malt, citrus, pine , toffee, hops and some floral notes. Heavy bitter taste of piny hops, malt, caramel and orange. Nice hoppy beer.

suurjuust (3607) - ESTONIA - AUG 18, 2013
Clear gold, white head, medium white head. Nose has a fair amount of malts, some caramel/toffee hints, (grape)fruity tones. Taste is bready malts, some sweet hints, finish is pretty bitter and hayish-grapefruity-hoppy. Lingering bitterness in the aftertaste. Medium body, oily palate, smooth carbonation.

jaghana (6160) - Strasbourg (Alsace), FRANCE - AUG 13, 2013
Bottle 50cl, a clear pale amber beer with good head, retention and lacing. Nose is very fruity on resin, grapefruit, orange and grass. Aroma is very sweet on caramel and orange notes with intense bitterness, this strong bitterness has a very long duration. Nothing exceptional for 9€ the bottle.

rubbishystuff (2537) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 10, 2013
UPDATED: MAY 18, 2016 From Gene’s. Although the cask version is 7.6% this being only 5.6% isn’t this just an ESB? Much bigger hops than the Bronze. Citrusy hops for a UK brew. Decent stuff, I think I preferred the bronze through. Serving: Bottle

maxwelldeux (4374) - Snohomish, Washington, USA - JUL 28, 2013
Bottle. Pours a hazy light orange-amber color with a moderate white head on it. Nose is surprisingly filled with citrus notes to it, which made it quite inviting. Taste is actually a bit chalky and bitter, with an almost burnt aftertaste to it. Odd and not all that pleasant.

jamestulloch (4214) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUL 25, 2013
Aroma: Honey, sugary malt and grapefruit.

Appearance: Slightly hazy golden body with a medium white head. Lively carbonation. Light lacing.

Taste: Balance between bitter unripe melon and sweet honey - it tastes boozier than its 5.6% ABV. Dry, metallic finish.

Palate: Medium body with a watery, slightly oily texture. Average carbonation.

Overall: A bit too sweet for my liking - I struggled to finish the bottle.

maekchu (4001) - Hirakata, JAPAN - JUL 17, 2013
Bottle pour at Great Japan Beer Festival Osaka (7/13/2013). Fruity and malty (British-style) nose. Hazy gold straw color. Big hits of whiskey and tobacco. Smacky-lip sipping. Doesn’t really smooth out. Some mild peppery harshness, and some rye-like notes. Interesting stuff.

stouby (4692) - Holbæk, DENMARK - JUL 16, 2013
Bottle at home. Dark golden with a White head. Aroma medium malty (caramel), heavy hoppy (floral, grapefruit, NZ, US, UK hops). Flavor medium sweet, medium+ bitter, light spicy. Medium+ body.
