500ml bottle from somewhere online, I forget, it’s been a long day. Clear golden orange pour, big white head, high carbonation keeps it there. bit too fizzy actually. Orange, apricot and cream on the nose. Light caramel sweet and good hop bitter taste. Quite rich for such a (relatively) low ABV. Sweet finish. OK. Bottle from the Classic Deli a.k.a. the Dodgi Deli, Cowley Rd, Oxford consumed with my dad at home 20.09.11 Pours orange/amber with a filmy white head. Slight warmth from the alcohol, little bit of sweet orange, touch flowery, some dryness, little bit of bitterness, it’s very good. Light copper coloured with a small head. It has plenty of tasty biscuit malts with some fruits evident in both aroma and its flavour. MoritzF (9851) - Ottobrunn, GERMANY - SEP 28, 2010
(bottle) Hazy, orange-golden colour with a blond medium-sized foamy head. Citrus-fruity and slightly herbal-spicy hoppy aroma with a mildly sweet pale malty background. Moderately bitter and slightly sweet flavour, medium to light bodied with a smooth carbonation. Citrus-fruity (grapefruits) and also a bit exotic fruity hoppy taste with a soft pale malt-character; quite dry bitter-sweet fruity hoppy finish. Pleasant pale Ale with a hearty body. 20.IX.10 3fourths (9331) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - SEP 2, 2012
bottle. June 2013 BBD. lightly hazed bronze body with a tall and lasting off-white head. succulent coffee cake malt consumes the nose: spiced bread, honey / nectar, multi-grain crackers, clean and quite whiskey-like. hops provide balanced grass and fruit (dried pineapple and apricots) character, and the yeast is properly musty, dusty and rustic. medium-full body with a rich and sticky malt bite with touches of fresh peat; hops are modestly bitter and slightly resinous; yeast lends an old-world basement must and dried fruit quality. a bit sharp and smacking with a slight excess of alcohol for my tastes, but the body is lush and round and the carbonation full and fitting for the weight. another stellar English-style beer from Celt, and quite fresh, just arriving in state a couple of weeks ago.
