Chris and Ruth’s Shindig 2016, Sunday. Slightly hazy golden beer with a rich offwhite head. Malty caramel aroma, hay, grapes, floral notes. Malty bready flavor, grainy, some citrus. So so...

Bottle, gift from Jim- cheers! Hazy golden-amber with a billowing white head and a light fizz. Grapefruit pith, pine, and a little gingery caramel biscuit. Sticky and bitter, a bit too much so for me. Not a fan.

(Draught at In De Wildeman, Amsterdam, 18 Feb 2016) Amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with orange peel, grapefruit and dried apricots. Malty, fruity taste with orange peel, marmalade, grapefruit, apricots, caramel and a generous citric bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Really fresh and tasty with a generous citric hop character. Very nice.

Bottle from M&S Stratford and drunk at home. Cloudy aroma lasting thick white head. Hoppy intense aroma. Some toffee on aroma. Intense American hops. Over carbonated. So you get that prickly carbonic acid. Good hops. Good IPA.

500ml bottle picked up at tres bonne. pours out a crisp copper golden topped with a sand head. Nose is old cardboard hops all the way gone at this point some sweet malts. Taste is more of the old dead hops and sweetness a little touch of bitterness on the end. My first beer from Wales to bad it was so old. I am sure it would be much better fresh.

UPDATED: OCT 10, 2016 Bottle at home from beer hawk. Golden / light orange coloured pour with a lively frothy head. Effervescent. Aroma is pils grains, citrus / floral hop notes with light lemon soapy. Later a little toasted butterscotch note develops. Flavour is composed of caramel biscuit grains, light toasted grains, spicy citrus, berry, grainy. Light belgian yeast character. Palate is grainy, highish carbonation. Assertive clean bitterness. Bit of a weird one.

Bottle shared at the pre GBBF chriso’s tasting day 2 07/08/2016. A ha d golden orange coloured pour with a loose white head. Aroma is toffee, earthy nutty malts, jammy fruits, strawberry. Flavour is composed of sweet grains, nutty, honey, bready malts. Grassy bramble. Palate is semi sweet moderate, sticky, toffee cakey malts.
