Essex (51) - Cardiff, - JAN 5, 2013
Poured from a 500ml bottle into a pint glass. Pours a light brown colour with a small head that fades leaving a small layer, and very nice lacing down the inside too. Smells faintly of sweet malts. Tastes of sickly sweet malts, followed by a light hop bitterness that lingers for quite a while. Not bad at all. Overall a decent session beer.

Note: bottle says best by 2013; drinking 3 years later; Aroma: very malty with lots of apple juice; Appearance: clear amber pour with little head that disappears quickly; Taste: follows nose, unfortunately; sickening maltiness is too much to handle; Palate: medium body with long, sweet finish; Overall: never again.

Gyllen brun farge med ok skum. Lukter humle, noe sitrus. Smaker litt fruktig og avslutter med medium bitterhet.

500ml bottle. Even after pouring slowly, gives off a huge amount of head, off white colour and very bubbly. Dark copper appearance with quite visible sediments. Aromas of barley, grains and hops. Flavour is a mix of hops and roasted malts. thingly mouthfeel and mildly creamy. Carbonation is medium and aftertaste is slightly bitter. Has dirty lacing, right to the bottom Pretty good stuff!

Sampled from 0.5 l bottle at Borresteijn’s place, best before January 2016. Slightly hazy, golden amber with a tan head. Fruity, a little herbal aroma of lemon peel, lime, some ginger and straw. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity and a little herbal taste of straw, lemon peel, grapefruit and ginger, followed by a short, slightly herbal-bitter finish. Thin to medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Quite okay.
