Quick RB taste at CBC Clerkenwell. 50cl bottle has a nose of port and wood, malt, mushroom. Flavor is malt, cracker, toast, port, sherry. Finishes oily and a touch hot.

Bottle shared in London during the Cad's leaving do. Pours black-brown with a creamy khaki head. A little age in the snout, dry roast, baking cocoa. Medium sweet flavour with strong ashy bitterness, lots of strong baking cocoa, torched wood dryness, earth. Medium to full bodiednwith fine to average carbonation. Warming finish, dry and ashy, with more scorched earth and bittersweet cocoa. Solid, hard-edged impy.

Backlog, ocena przepisana z untappd, w ramach uzupełniania profilu na ratebeer. Trochę za słodkie plus nie do końca wiem, co tutaj robi aromat mokrej sierści psa. Strange.

ManVsBeer (11205) - Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - JAN 23, 2016
Bottle. Extremely strong tasting, but that’s not really a shock. Takes a while to finish with a heavy spirit-like nose including dark malts - there’s some roasted malts, but not too many as its sweetness dominates away from the alcohol. Black with a thin head and a sticky texture.

Butelka 0,33l, data przydatności 10.04.2015r.
Aromat - Aromat słaby, głównie kawa i czekolada, ciasto drożdżowe.
Wygląd - Piwo barwy czarnej, z rubinowymi refleksami, klarowne. Piana beżowa, niska, drobnopęcherzykowa. Ładny lasing, długo się utrzymuje.
Smak - Słodycz, czekolada, kawa, lekka paloność, lukrecja, lekko ziołowość, w tym anyż. Pod koniec tosty i przypalony spód do ciasta. Wysycenie średnie do niskiego.

UPDATED: SEP 11, 2015 2015-09-09. Very dark brown-black body with a nice tan head that fades. 3+ Aroma has a good amount of roast, lightly tangy alcohol, milk chocolate touches. Flavour has rich dark malt core, notes of fruit, muted roast and vinous undertones. Light cocoa notes. Light oxidation. Smooth medium to full bodied palate, modest carbonation. 3+ Enjoyable. Bottle from Sherbrooke Liquors, Edmonton, AB.

Ferris (17128) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 9, 2015

gegwilson (3827) - North Yorkshire, ENGLAND - MAY 25, 2015
Bottle in the Micro Pub, Buxton. Pours very deep brown, almost black with a cream head. Coffee and liquorice aroma. The flavour is rich and full. Lots of coffee and liquorice with moderate spice. Some metallic notes that fit well with the other flavours. Superb beer.
