Welsh interpretation of a belgian tripel beer. ABV 8.5%, IBU 35. spicy, cinnamon, earthy aroma. despite being a punchy 8.5% - orange peel in the mouth stops it being overwhelmingly heavy, leaving it warming and reassuringly heavy. as they says. grapefruit, tasty enough, but a bit too oaky & heavy for my preferences, and a little pumpkiny or soapy Mortlach (2539) - Rome, ITALY - MAY 29, 2016
On tap @Mad for Beer (Rome). Pours orange, a bit unclear, medium white head. Aroma of yeasts, malt, ripe fruits, solvent, cinnamont. Flavour is medium sweet with a light sourish end, sponge cake and vinous notes, quite complex. Medium body, light carbonation. Interesting! Moebbels (845) - FINLAND - FEB 2, 2016
A mildly hazy orange body with a white head that quickly becomes a ring around the edge of the glass. Nose has some nice orange peel fruitiness and a heavy warm cinnamon accent. Taste is sweet and quickly followed by a warming cinnamon burn that ends with a strong, lingering spicy bitterness. Lively carbonation and light palate. Nice smell but the aftertaste has some unpleasant side notes for my taste. mathieuc (4001) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 31, 2016
Bottle from my sister Eve and shared 2-ways with my real life brother, thanks Eve! Pours a hazy golden with a small white head that leave low lacing. Nose is of cinnamon, bitter orange peel, oak and light alcohol. Not too phenolic, I can appreciate that. Taste is more cinnamon, light hops, light bananas. Moderately sweet and bitter. Alcohol gives a light warm feeling but is otherwise pretty discrete. Average body and a moderately high carbonation. Pretty good, the spices add a nice twist!

Looks more IPA than tripel - rusty orange with a big white head and lacing. US hops lead the way too with citrus and tropical fruit, with the Belgian yeast sitting just behind. The orange peel lends a subtle edge, while the cinnamon appears towards the end, and lingers once everything else has faded. Touch of spice too, and some toffee malt. Not quite sure of the balance, but it has some interesting depths. oh6gdx (26487) - Vasa, FINLAND - NOV 18, 2015

Hazy orange color, steady beige head. Light fruity tartness, yeasty and a bit hoppy aroma. Medium-bodied. Overriped fruits, oak and vanilla, candy sugar spices and orange peels. Decent special tripel.
Bottle. Orange hazy. Oaky, dry oaky, slight tarty, sweetnsour nose, some dry honey, florals. Med bodied, dryish, oakish finnish. Golden malts, yeasty peppers, fruity esters. Quite enjoyable.Mjp12 (2198) - York, North Yorkshire, ENGLAND - OCT 27, 2015
This is very good! Normally tripels are just too sweet for me, but the Orange cuts right through the sweetness. It has a great bread, yeast and citrus aroma, with a touch of spice on the finish.
