The namesake beer of COTU’s founders, Ray Ray’s Pale Ale starts with imported English 2-row barley that provides a full rich flavor. Near continuous additions of Cascade hops contribute both a balanced bitterness and classic spicy and citrusy aromas and flavors. This extremely drinkable un-filtered American-style pale ale checks in at 5.2% ABV and 42 IBUs.

Unclear medium orange color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate hoppy, grapefruit, orange - citrus. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, grapefruit - orange, sweet malt, caramel. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is flat. [20140813]

Taste comprises soft bread dough, orange pith, citric peel, straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok APA.

Sampled @ GBBF day 2. Slightly hazy orange color, small white head. Smell and taste malts, nicely hoppy, nicely bitter, fruityness of mandarin and lightly grapefruit. Decent body and carbonation. Nice one.
