Decent dark copper body and okay head, a little foamy but not particularily solid. Aroma is a balanced mix of hazelnut, malt, and sweet hops. Flavour is a wonderful mix of maltiness, caramel, lemon, with hoppy notes. Slightly oily and sweet on the mouthfeel. Intelligent and well-rounded, very smooth, a pleasure to drink. Very nice. fiulijn (21590) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 7, 2014

Beautiful amber color, clean, with creamy head. Perfumy brew; the cedar wood is more citrusy and less sharp than some other cedar-aged beer, without that incense character, and instead it enhances the biscuity malts; it’s rather dry, but with a good body structure; fairly bitter too.
Light amber, beige head.Piney nose, malt in back.Palate of light spice, wppd with malt sweetness in mid.Nice long bitter hop finish Lagerboy (2227) - British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 30, 2014
Bomber. Clear lighter reddish copper, firm fine off-white foam settles and mostly lasts. "Intense cedar aroma"... is that what that smell is? It is a nice wooded amber ale, lightly sweet c-malt, faintly fruity, moderate herbal spicy floral hop, clean and dry... no cedar detected however. Purchased at BC liquor Store at Fairfield Plaza. Pours a large frothy white head atop a clear highly-carbonated deep orange body. Nose of tart orange and a sweaty locker room. Flavour is nicely resiny, citrus, green leaf and minor wood chips. Decent stuff.

Bottle. Amber, bright, with a thin head. Aroma is woody - I guess that’s the cedar though it is far less pronounced than the Cigar City cedar beers. There is also a fair bit of caramel. The palate continues in the same vein, with a woody front, sweeter caramels as it goes and the hop are more of a duller quality that blend into the background. jonas (8761) - Garching b. Bottle. Red golden, low carbonation, low head. Fine citric, light wooden and grassy aroma. Medium body, mellow mouthfeel. Nice balance between dry wooden and aromatic hoppy notes. Very long grassy and herbal/piny aftertaste - a bit too dry in the end for my taste. vadie (1261) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 11, 2014
650 ml bottle. Pours a clear amber with moderate head. Aromas of sappy pine (can’t get cedar myself), rubber, a bit of sulphur and dusty malts. Flavors of toasted malts, bitter orange, grass and a hard to place sharp bitter nuttiness (cedar?). Interesting long bitter finish.
