Mosaic hops lend to this light and fruity ale with a good bitterness and malt balance, coupled with refreshing hop aromatics. This session ale is bit on flavour and light in alcohol.

Canada pale ale malt, Munich malt, Caravienne malt, Mosaic hops; ABV 4%; IBU 40; SRM 8

On February 4th, 2014 we launched our new ISA India Session Ale at a mystery beer launch event. The event was held at Darbys Pub in Vancouver and featured an expert panel consisting of Certified Cicerone and Beer Educator Chester Cary, author of Craft Beer Revolution Joe Wiebe, and Dustan Sept of Norco Bicycles & BeerMeBC.com. Along with a room full of Central City fans the lads blind tasted the latest Red Racer release. To find out what they thought check out the video on our brand new RedRacerBeer.com!

Editors note: Alcohol on the cans says 4%, but reports from the brewpub tend to have a lower number.

Pours light amber, little head. Smell is apricot, tangerine, cut grass. Taste is a peculiar blend of hops mixed with malt sweetness. Too sweet. Floral, herbal taste. Bit too medicinal of a taste for me. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

473 ml can. Pours a golden yellow with a pillowy white head and a slight suspension. Aromas are mild pine and plenty of tropical esters. Tastes are reflective of aroma but strength is inversed with the pine being more assertive. Fairly assertive hop bitterness as well. Light body, somewhat creamy, long astringent bite. This beer may be low on abv but it packs a hoppy wallop. Probably not a what Id call a session beer just because my palate would tire of the astringency pretty quickly.

Pours a slightly amber gold, medium head with good retention. Aroma is green and a tad sweet: pine, grass, some malt. Taste is surprisingly malt forward - lots of caramel, nutty body, pine, leafy hops, and mineral in the finish; credit for managing this much flavour in a 4% package, but the malty profile feels a bit too "hefty" for a session. Carbonation is heavy, which I dont mind. Not an instant purchase for me, but its solid.

355ml can. Pours a slightly hazy copper with a large, frothy, long lasting, white head that laces nicely. Sweet, fruity, floral aroma of grapefruit, tropical fruit, melon and caramel malt. Sweet, fruity flavour of caramel malt, grapefruit, tropical fruit, biscuit, pine and grass with a dry, bitter, hop resin finish. Medium body with an oily texture and average carbonation. Wow! The label says it all, big on flavour and light in alcohol. Totally crushable. An excellent SIPA.

Can. Pours a very light amber with a moderate head. Lively carbonation. Nice hoppy aroma, notes of citrus. Taste: moderate flavouring and aromatic hops, notes of citrus, spruce, and a tad of earthiness. Some bitterness but not so much. Very light sweet malt undertone. LIght bodied. Finish is a grassy bitterness. This may be one of the best "light beers" ever! Well done, especially with the hop balance. I could drink this a lot!

Pours clear gold with a white head that leaves some lacing and fades but doesnt disappear. Aroma is orange, mango and tropical fruits. Has a good juicy taste with a slight bitter kick. Very good beer, Ill definitely be drinking this again.
