Bottled at pre-RBJG festivities in Kyoto. Hazy golden, minimal head. Perfumy apricot aroma. Mid-dry with clean, yet chewy crystal malt-like profile. Inviting, but a little sterile until orangey hops brings it to life. Finishes with medium bitterness.

Amber color. The aroma is simple, but the malt and toffee flavor is good, well balanced, with a nice bitterness level; the hop provides some resiny and fruity touch, more evident in the long final.
Pleasant Ale.

Amber color. Mild hoppy aroma, nice but not Citra-like, some sweat, lemon peel. Good malt flavor, lean, with pleasant balanced hopping, strong resins, hints of creamy Citra. A bit astringent in the end.
Very pleasant.

Golden color. Light but nice hop aroma. It has a pleasant caramel and hop flavor, not complex but drinkable. Strong bitterness.

UPDATED: SEP 22, 2007 Light amber colour and dead flat. Its on cask, so it probably looks just fine in other formats. Toasty, woody anisey aroma. Balanced flavour - some great slightly pearlike estery notes along with well-extracted caramel malts and a subtle, earthy hop character. I could do a sixer of this.

Light copper colour. Aroma is mainly limey, with a hint of grapefruit. Body is a little thin. Flavour leans towards sweet lime. Slightly bitter - less hopped than the Red, but theres a lot less malt so it shows a bit more. Finish is dry, light. Re-sampled showed this beer as clean, with better malt character. Still light, but I may have underestimated the craftsmanship previously.

355mL can, pours a hazy golden amber with a white head. Aroma of hops, citrus and floral notes. Flavour is a nice balance of hops and malt. Nice and refreshing, but unremarkable.

A: The pour is a cloudy burnt orange color with two fingers worth of rocky white head that leaves some great lacing. S: Mildly sweet citrus hops up front, mostly oranges, a light sweetness to the malt, and a fair amount of bread character. Pretty much what you expect from a pale ale. T: Maybe leaning a bit more toward the bread side of things with a slight sweetness of caramel. The hops are again mostly orange flavored with a bit of an earthy spice note in there as well. The bitterness is fairly mild. M: The body is medium with a moderate carbonation. Decent, but nothing to write home about. D: I think the IPA is probably a bit better. I liked this one a fair amount, and it works well as your standard pale ale.

Can from Malt & Vine. Pours golden amber/light copper - or something like that with a slight white head. Nice firm citrus/floral aroma. Med body. Flavor is citrus/floral over some nicely roasted malt. Finish is firmly bitter. Just excellent.

Bottle - Pale malts and some vegative hops. Clear dark gold with a rich white head. Tastes just like it smells in this case. Mellow and very English in style, not nearly the APA it claims.

12oz can. Medium off-white head that mostly dissipates atop crystal clear amber body. Aroma is moderately sweet, orange, light lime. Taste is medium sweet, orange, some bread/caramel, light lime. Light-medium body. Perfectly decent APA, in a generic sort of way.
