A powerhouse imperial fruit sour. the nose is pungent, featuring sour fruitiness, some acidity, berries and brown sugar. Deep mahogany body. Punchy tart and sour raspberries blend nicely with chocolate, cherries and a solid touch of caramel malt. The body is dense and smooth. Rich and well balanced.

stantheman (1128) - British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 11, 2017
On tap at Alibi Room in Vancouver. A dark reddish beer with a bit of white head and a nose redolent of cherry cough syrup. Hah! In the mouth? Sour cherry all the way. OK. 3.5

DeanF (2647) - Quebec, CANADA - JAN 1, 2017
There is a lot going on in this aroma - hay funk, lambic cherries, musty Belgian barns, good on Central City for bringing a proper old world messiness to lower mainland beers. Great dark brown and ruby red body, minimal head but that is likely by design in this bar. Flavour is gooey lambic sourness with huge citrus cherries. A bit of wood and malt and a puckering finish but in a good way. Another great new world wild ale from Surrey of all places. (You know what they say - better safe than Surrey, right?)
