12oz bottle, it is non-vintaged, but I’ve had it since 09. Pours out a nice rich black color, great coffee color head. Aromas are a bit one-sided but rich bourbon, mocha, vanilla. Everything is great until the palate. I’m not sure if this was just a bad bottle, or maybe this shouldn’t have gone this long, but it has had proper storage. Palate from entry to finish is sherrified, vinegar, and it literally stings across the palate. Bourbon is stretched thin across the palate. I really want to re-rate this fresh.

Aroma is mostly chocolate and alcohol. Taste is similar. Appearance is dark brown with a very fizzy head the dissipates quickly. Fairly light body. Not as rich and creamy as you would want a barrel aged stout to be. No lacing whatsoever. Not up to Central Waters standards in my opinion.

Pours deep brown to black with low tan head. Aroma of nuts, bourbon, light vanilla, chocolate. Taste is sweet chocolate followed by a lingering balanced bourbon sweet finish. Light to medium bodied, creamy, with soft carbonation.

Draft. Aroma of of raisin and sticky cake. Flavors follow, plus some bourbon, it’s sweetness moderated by an insistent bitter backbone probably more malty than hoppy. This finish astounds. Really smooth, balanced. Not boozy.

Aroma is bourbon, chocolate, coffee, vanilla, barrel, bready, good. Appearance is dark brown, light brown head, an unfortunate Coca Cola fizziness that seemed very wrong, and it poured thin. Taste is bourbon, barrel, vanilla, chocolate, roasted malt, coffee, tasty. Mouthfeel is medium body, light, bubbly carbonation, bourbon and chocolate aftertaste. Overall, the body on this is all wrong, because it would be great otherwise.

2016 vintage, pours a light black color with mocha tan head..nose is nice with quality chocolate..roasted malt character with some vanilla n leather, hint of spice perhaps nutmeg or cinnamon, mouthfeel is pleasant, getting a lot of the same action from nose but with good boozy barrel profile that doesn’t overwhelm, like the creamy texture that lingers, not harsh or abrasive at all, quite a bit of complexity for the under 10 abv level, very tasty barrel aged stout..

Aroma has lots of chocolate with moderate bourbon. Flavor is rich chocolate with sweet malt and caramel. Finishes sweet and boozy. Delicious.
