Pours unclear hazy amber with a small white ring for a head. Aroma is sweet cherries with a tad bit of zing. Flavor brings tart not overly dry cherry flavors that settle well on the tongue with some mild but wild yeast flavors on the tongue.

Pour at Autumn Brew Review. Glad I got to try this one! One of the top 4 sours I tried that day. Cherry with just a hint of sulfur in the nose. Excellent sourness and funk with a touch of sweetness from the cherry in the taste. Would like a bottle of this sometime to share!

Bottle shared at GTMW ticket line then on tap at Craftsman the following day, pours a clear amber brown and with a thin head, the aroma was of sour cherries with a ton of oak and vanilla coming through as well, the flavor has a soft sour front end with with a really good sour punch in the finish, dry finish, mouthfeel was nice, oak and the bourbon shows in the finish too but mixes well with the sourness.

Draft at Devil’s Den in Philadelphia, PA. Pours a dark golden amber color with ruby edges and a half finger off-white head that quickly fades.  Minimal spots of lace left behind. Earthy, funky aroma with tart, vinous fruit, earthy, funky bugs, toasted oak and acetic solvent.  A bit more acetic solvent character than I prefer taking away from the other notes a bit but there’s still some sweet vinous fruit and a decent barrel character. On the thinner end of medium bodied with tart, puckering mouthfeel that’s slightly acetic but not overly harsh.  Decent barrel character with toasted oak and vanilla followed by tart, vinous dark fruit and acetic vinegary funk.  Slightly lactic with a nice amount of puckering sourness but it’s a bit more acetic/solvent like than I prefer.  The dark fruit notes adds some needed sweetness but it could use some more balance.

Tasted on draft at FoBAB 2010. Pours cloudy brown with a pink tint and a thick white head that leaves decent lace. The nose is sandy (like wet beach sand) with chocolate, cherry, brett funk, and some tartness. The flavor has that same sandy thing with chocolate, cherry, and more sour than expected based on the nose. The body is medium with average carbonation and a long sour and milk chocolate finish.

On tap September 28, 2013 at ABR. Cloudy orange brown pour. Sour, cherry and wood in the aroma and taste.

Off orange pour dense off white head. Hugely tart fruit aroma a good amount of dry oak. Hints of leather amd earthy minerals. Well blended. Small well coated palate lingers but doesnt hold. Sour off cherry a fair amount of oak amd leather reminds me a bit of G black with a lot less tart. Very good.

GTMW 10. Sour with the dominant lactic that all but three of the american sours I tried at the festival presented. Definite cherry amid the sourness but sadly the bourbon was still too strong for me to truly enjoy it.

Deep orange almost red. Nice pop on the cork. Mild barnyard, citrus, lactic acid. Moderately sour sweet tart flavor, citrus fruit, mild cherry, faint funk, and a hint of vanilla. Dry, sour finish. Pretty clean palate-wise. A pretty solid sour from the limited that I have tried.
