Bottle pours gold with a white head. Aroma shows notes of toffee, apple, and light florals. Flavor is somewhat grassy with underlying notes of peach. Overall body is moderate and finishes with a fairly balanced bitterness.

Decent head, pale gold color, nice floral notes, finishes with cereal and a bit of hops bitterness. Pleasant, would drink again.

Very pale amber with fluffy white head. Aroma of light caramel candy and herbal/vegetal hops. Flavor is solid pine and, to a much lesser extent, citrus-like hop bitterness. Very little malt coming through. Finishes with residual citrus and pine.

Pretty solid pale ale. Bottle to glass. Nice crisp aroma of citrus (grapefruit) and pine. Pour is amber/gold with a nice moderate white head. Medium carbonation and a slightly bitter finish. This is a go to when I see it around. Another all around solid offering from CW.

Pour a very clean orange/amber color with a solid frothy, white head on top. Aroma has a very inviting orange and light grapefruit citrus with some light pine presence at the tail end. Flavor has an overall solid bitterness but very well balanced by the light sweetness. Notes of grapefruit, orange, pine abound with a great light toasted malt note to compliment the continuing grapefruit acidity that follows the tasting. Mouthfeel is pretty lively with very fine carbonation providing a sharpness to the slight crispness felt in the body. Overall a fantastic example of an APA. Not overly bitter and really allows the flavors of the hops to shine. I honestly LOVE the grapefruit acidity tasted in this beer.

Bottle:   Hazy amber, large frothy off-white head, nice lacing, minimal carbonation.   I have had this one for a while.   Wow, has a distinct fruitiness to the nose.   Almost like very soft peach.   While it has a soft hoppiness on the tongue, it does have this fruity background.   Not what I was expecting at all.   A little musty or barnish, I think thats from the age.   Somewhat falls off quickly, not much bitterness is there.   A very light Pale Ale with some unexpected fruity aspects.   Interesting.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Definitely not your West Coast style Pale Ale.

Pours orange amber with a small white head, traces of it last throughout. Aroma is citrus and pine. Taste is sweet to bitter. Sticky mouthfeel. Overall this is a decent APA, nice balance of bitters and sweetness.

Bottle - Pours clear yellow amber with a small foamy white head. Grassy and herbal on the nose, with a bit of lemongrass. Real clean and understated with the hops. Bready malt with a bit of grassy hops coming out through the finish. A touch of metal distracts, and a bit of syrupy caramel rears its head. Biting carbonation really takes away from the taste. It’s too bad--this started out great, until it actually went in the mouth.

Capa (3440) - Kitsap, Washington, USA - SEP 24, 2011
Orange with a white head. Aroma has a nice hops profile, floral, pine, light sweet citrus. Medium body. Flavor is full of hop goodness. Floral, citrus, light pine, and a bit of background sweet malts. Finish has a bit of a hard hop bite. Real nice Pale.

This beer is really pretty decent, but still nothing much to it. I like some more complexity.
