Crisp hoppy aroma. Floral. Deep golden color. Light carbonation. Thin, wispy head. The taste is a nice balance of hops and malt. Not as bitter as the label would lead you to believe. Balanced. Neither the malt or the hops is aggressive. A nice drinkable beer. Well made. YourDarkLord (1800) - Urbana, Illinois, USA - APR 18, 2006
Central Waters managed to make this rather pedestrian style quite palatable. Cloudy amber body under a thick, frothy off-white head. Aroma was of bread dough, citrus/pine hops, lots of malt, caramel. Medium bodied with nice carbonation. Some sweetness to the taste, well-balanced, malt and hops. Very nice. JohnnyOS (646) - Golden, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 16, 2007
Pours golden with average white head. Nice hop flavor with a light citrus flavor. Not much for aroma... ok. gws57 (1276) - Saint Charles, Illinois, USA - FEB 22, 2007
Got this one as part of the sampler at the brewpub in Marshfield, Wisconsin. Not particularly bitter for a pale, but pretty good beer. Dark yellow pour with a thin head, light nose of lemon and flowers, mild bitterness and hoppiness. Okay. tjthresh (1871) - Greenfield, Indiana, USA - AUG 12, 2007

Clear copper with a white head. The aroma is of earthy hops and biscuits or crackers. Same flavors. Medium body.
Deep, slightly hazy copper color with a nice white head. Aroma and flavor are dominated by hops with a bitter finish and hints of caramel and grape fruit. Chalice (11) - Oneida, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 24, 2009
Cloudy pale ale tastes like an IPA. Hops fade quickly to malt and caramel flavoe tones. Nice mouth feel. A well made brew with a slighly strange finish satan165 (1020) - River Grove, Illinois, USA - AUG 16, 2009
nose of light resin. appearance is strictly blonde. flavor is of pine and well bittered for the style. excellent malt background comes to light late in the game. hard to distinguish such balance and still have good hop character in an APA, so many fail. palate is thin and nearly watery. overall hops are prevelant enough as described in the commercial description (addressing a gripe i have verbalized before) but palate seems to fail. still quite drinkable. Reasonably tasty golden pale ale, with a decent floral hop nose and an average palate. The finish gives a sense of bitterness but the hops on the front side are very restrained. Not a West Coast pale ale, for sure, and that’s mostly a good thing. Tripplebrew (778) - Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA - JAN 31, 2010
Pours a slightly hazy lemon yellow with a fair layer of white head. Aroma is mild bread and caramel. Flavor is a mix of salty and sweet with malty hop notes. Body is light with medium carbonation.
