12 oz bottle purchased at Haskells in St. Paul and consumed with blonderedhead out of a Belgian snifter glass. Pours a hazy, golden orange color with surprisingly little head. Some good piney resin on the nose complementing a malty presence and citrus/tropical fruit. Taste is assertive with hops coming forward initially, a malty backbone taking over in the middle, and a hop bitterness towards the finish. There are elements of caramel, pineapple, floral, and some pine. This definitely falls on the more malty side of double IPAs Ive tasted. Its not illuminating anything new in the style but its definitely drinkable. Id consider it pretty run of the mill.

Bottle. This beer poured a medium caramel-tan color with a medium sized creamy tan head that lingered and left great lacing. The aroma was tangy and sweetish pine. The flavor was tangy and sweet pine, resin, a bit of grapefruit and floral hops. Medium length tangy and sweet finish with lingering pine and floral hops. Moderately full bodied.

12 oz. bottle from backlog. Pours a hazy orange golden color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor have bigger orange and grapefruit citrus character, some resinous hops, sweet malts, caramel, the thing that gets me is this claims 108 IBUs, but doesnt have much bitterness for an imperial IPA, good, but I like more bitterness pop.

Solid double IPA. Sharp and hoppy with just enough malt to keep things in check. Great bitter, hoppy finish keeps me interested. I always look for this one.

Dark golden color with a taller, fluffy off-white head. Larger isles of lace as the head subsides. Big hops aromas, with resin, pulpy citrus, and zest. Hints of pale malts and butterscotch in the backdrop. Fairly full in feel, that thins out slightly with the acidic hops. Light sweet start with pale malt and light fruit. Lots of resinous hops, with pine citrus, zest, and lightly floral qualities. Finish is light and crisp with a bit of acidity. Finish has a mild return of pale malt and light fruit (peachy). I seemed to enjoy this one much more while not thinking about it (the first two I tried last night). Still a very good IIPA. 3/10
