A robust, yet suprisingly refreshing porter, Mud Puppy is a favorite of dark beer lovers. Characterized by a thick, rocky head and luscious chocolate-like nose, the malty profile is balanced by liberal hopping for its style. Ok but wouldn't buy again.

Very dark brown with lasting head. Aroma and flavour have a lot of bittersweet cocoa and chocolate. Pleasantly dry finish. mjik83 (1766) - Maastricht, NETHERLANDS - JAN 5, 2018

Pours a deep brownish black from the bottle with fluffy tan head that dissipates to leave moderate lace. Aroma of mild chocolate notes, earthy hops, a hint of caramel and slight soy oxidation. Taste follows, nice chocolate, light earth, oxidation is covered by all the malty sweetness. A good porter. Bitterbill (2078) - Casper, Wyoming, USA - NOV 3, 2017

I got this bottle in a trade with Grizzly Adams. Thanks Cole!
It pours a dark brown with close to a 2finger head of off white foam. A few minutes in and the head retention is very good and there's some spotty lacing.
The smell has notes of coffee, roasted malt, and milk.
The taste has coffee and a roasted/burnt malt flavour up front with some milky flavour in the background. The roasted malt is quite bitter but works well with the semi sweetness of that milky flavour. It finishes very dry, from the roasted malt, and leaves a nice lingering aftertaste. Nice Porter with a medium mouthfeel and fairly low carbonation. I'm certainly glad I got to try it.

12 ounce bottle at home out of sampler 12 pack. No head when poured. Smell the malt. Kind of leathery aroma. Very deep brown in color. Taste a little chocolate, nuts, and is roasty in flavor. So smooth on the palate. Overall I like this and I considerer this a light winter warmer. Cheers!
