This smooth amber ale with it's mellow nutty flavor, subtle flowery nose, and delightful malty finish should appeal even to the newest of specialty beer drinkers.Named for the Algonquin word for the Wisconsin River, Ouisconsing Red makes even our neighbors to the south and west "want to be a Badger".

12 fl oz bottle. Pours hazy orange with no head. Fruity pine and grapefruit aroma. Flavour is caramel malty and fruity hoppy. Sweet and citric. Finish holds a nice bitterness mixing in with the fruity notes.

Bottled. An unclear amber beer with a lazing tan head. The aroma is sweet with notes of grass and caramel. The flavor is sweet malty with noets of caramel, leading to a dry finish where notes of caramel and straw lingers around. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of Skyview. Slightly hazy, amber golden with a small, off-white head. Aroma of caramel and overripe fruit. Fairly light in body, lightly sweet caramel and then a vague, underlying tartness. The finish is quite hoppy. 171207

Bottle poured a clear reddish amber with a small lasting creamy amber head. Aromas of carmel, earthiness, toasted malt and a hint of molasses. Palate was medium bodied anbd smooth. Flavors of carmel, toasted malt and lighht earthiness with a smooth lingering carmel finish.

Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured a dark clear amber color with an average frothy off-white head that was mostly lasting and had good lacing. Good nutty malt aroma. Medium body with smooth texture and soft carbonation. Moderate sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Soft brew.

12 ounce bottle from Steve’s Mineral Point, Madison, WI. Pours a clear copper color with a medium sized tan head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of toffee, caramel and earthy notes. Some stone fruits also. The taste is bitter hops, earthy notes and toasted malts. Thin-medium bodied.

On draught at Local Option. Reddish-amber pour with a medium off-white head that diminishes slowly to a film. Partial rings of lacing. Aroma of caramel malt and hops. Light body with flavors of mild floral hops, butterscotch and malt. The finish is short and sweet with a caramel malt aftertaste. Pretty average overall.
