On draught at Local Option. Reddish-amber pour with a medium off-white head that diminishes slowly to a film. Partial rings of lacing. Aroma of caramel malt and hops. Light body with flavors of mild floral hops, butterscotch and malt. The finish is short and sweet with a caramel malt aftertaste. Pretty average overall.

12 oz bottle. I got a free glass with it. It pours into my new Central Waters pint glass a very nice color. It is a clear reddish amber that has a nice foamy slightly off-white head that recedes to some very nice lacing. The smell is of caramel, toasted grain, and a hint of hops. Subtle, but nice. The flavor is better than expected. I usually dislike red ales because they are mind-numbingly boring. This one is still pretty pedestrian but it is pretty tasty for a red ale. It is bready and toasty with a hint of metallic flavor, caramel sweetness, and a surprising bit of hops. The hops dont really bring much flavor just a very blunt, medium bitterness. Central Waters makes something out of nothing. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 02-15-2011 05:22:49

12 fl oz bottle. (Friar Tuck) Springfield, IL.
Clear amber colour with a big creamy off-white head. Floral hops, mild bitterness, sweet malt and nutty dryness in the aroma. The flavour is moderate bitterness, dry hops, dry nuttiness and darkish maltiness. Balanced but rather boring Amber Ale.

Bottle. Pours a hazy red-amber with a nice thin foamy white head. Smells of malt and some crisp hop. mouthfeel is too carbonated, which masks the little bit of maltiness and nuttiness that might be in there. Just ok.

12 oz. bottle from a six pack that a friend of my wife brought back when they were supposed to be looking for Wisconsin Belgian Red. Oh well, its a tick. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a small disappearing off white head. The aroma and flavor have lighter caramel malt, floral and grassy hops, lightly fruity, slight metallic note.
