COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This smooth amber ale with it's mellow nutty flavor, subtle flowery nose, and delightful malty finish should appeal even to the newest of specialty beer drinkers.Named for the Algonquin word for the Wisconsin River, Ouisconsing Red makes even our neighbors to the south and west "want to be a Badger".

Slightly hazy copper pour with a 1 finger, creamy beige head that has great retention and leaves some nice lacing. caramel, toast, biscuit and herbal, spicy and floral hops. Flavor is caramel, cereal, woody notes, rustic roasted nuts, bready and fruity yeast, herbal, floral and light spicy hops to the finish. Lightish body, creamy to chewy entry and slightly drier, but still a little chewy, syrupy finish. Decent, well balanced Amber Ale, though if I had to guess the style I would have said Irish Ale.

I got this bottle in a trade with Grizzly Adams. Thanks Cole!

It pours a hazy red with a 1 finger head of foam that shrinks to a fine layer after a few minutes. It does have some good lacing.

The smell is very light. I just get some roasted malt, some hops, and a sweetish smell.

The taste has roasted/toasted malt and some hop bitterness up front with a slight sourness in the background. I like the way the roasted part of this Red Ale works, but the subsequent hoppy bitterness is a bit too grassy and I don't particularly like that sourness, all be it mild, peeking it's head out just before the finish. The finish itself is pretty roasty and that's ok with me. An interesting brew and I'm glad I got to try it but it falls short of some of the Reds I've had.

12 ounce bottle Brew pub aroma. Hazy, reddish in color. Light head and film on glass. Malty in flavor. A little harsh on the palate. Overall above average beer for the style.

A solid amber, malty with a touch of caramel sweetness. Light grassy and nutty notes keep it interesting.

On tap. Pours a clear amber red with a near white head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces. Aroma has lots of straw with grass and a touch of pine. Flavor has grass, light pine and a bit of straw.

Not much I can say here. Really sweet. Lacking any kind of a hop balance. Why in the hell did you bottle this? Sucks balls.

UPDATED: JUL 11, 2016 12oz bottle to tulip. Pours bright clouded mahogany, white soapy head. Aroma of fig, brown sugar, pecan, red malts, caramel and raisin. Taste of same. Hop bitter dry finish. Mouthfeel is mod oily.

Amber pour with a nice but quickly dissolving head. Fairly bitter start to finish, not as malty as expected. Almost a hint of spice and slightly citrus aroma, but not really that much going on. Just ok. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle:
Hazy amber with a thin, off-white head.
Caramel malt, a bit of bread in the aroma.
Taste is earthy, caramel malt, nuts....
Fairly rich....not bad.

Really tasty. Thick and heavy. Nice flavor. Great color, red and orange. Malt, caramel, nuts, and grass. Tap

Pretty dismal in my opinion. Pretty flat tasting. Not anything redeeming about it.
