Bomber- 2017 release, pours chestnut brown with reasonably frothy mocha head and slight soapy lacing. Nose- rye spice, dark chocolate and roast. Taste, creamy texture, barrel forward in rye and vanilla, burnt sugar and molasses and hint of smoke. Not boozy at all- well constructed beer. Dogbrick (13554) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - MAY 25, 2017
Sample at Hoof Hearted during the "Konkey Dong - Can Release Party" on 05/07/2017. Brown-black color with a medium beige head that recedes gradually to an outer ring. Partial rings of lace. Fantastic aroma of toasted rye bread, malt and chocolate. Full-bodied with flavors of spicy rye malt, chocolate, bourbon and a bit of vanilla. The finish is rye bread and bourbon. Very good beer all around. djd07 (15342) - Houston, Texas, USA - APR 23, 2017

22oz bottle. 2017 release. Black pour with a thin beige head. Aroma is chocolate and whiskey. Noticeable rye spice. Taste is milk chocolate, dark roast, lots of rye that blends well. Tasty stuff. cbfobes (2885) - Quad Cities, Illinois, USA - AUG 9, 2015
Tap at Central Waters event, pours pitch black with a very thin head, the aroma has a good amount of the rye and barrel coming through with a good touch of chocolate and roast, the flavor has a roasty front end with some chocolate in the front end, abv was for sure there and it doesn’t exactly hide it all the way, interesting.

On tap at the brewery. Dark and delicious a bit hot in the alcohol on the swallow but a nice mix remi ded me more of a barleywine than stout. Nummy kkleu357 (634) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 13, 2014
Tap takeover at Dexters. Black medium thin body. Sweet rye aroma. Good amount of rye on the nose. So good. Sweet chocolate taste with a good amount of rye taste. This needs to be bottled! Excellent! nuplastikk (6420) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 19, 2014
Tap at Central Waters. Big, rich, chewy Imperial Stout. Very similar to the Bourbon Barrel version. Brown sugar, molasses, woody candy barrel action. Very tasty, barrel forward. Remains drinkable. Caramel chocolate richness. Right on, not really such a big difference between the Bourbon Barrel though. jmcgavin12 (492) - Madison, USA - MAY 8, 2013
Pours black with a tan head. Bourbon and vanilla on the nose with a lot of alcohol notes. Taste was very sweet with a bitter smooth finish that made for an overall stellar beer. Would definitely have another one of these in the future esjaygee (3904) - Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 27, 2013
On tap at Stubby’s. Dark brow with a creamy brown crown. Aroma of molasses, rye, dark toasted malt, chocolate and mild alcohol. Taste is solid with rye, molasses, chocolate, roasted malt, sugar, a touch of salt and some heat on the finish. I thought this was an excellent offering.
