pretty decent stout but not much a big fan of the heat in the throat. Pretty tasty though. I would like to have my stout with pepper flavors and no heat. Its not hot my any means but it not everyone’s cup of tea. still try it if it was on tap or something.

22oz bottle at the November DC Ratebeer tasting. Poured a dark black oil color with a small tan head. Aroma was roasted malts, dark chocolate. In a manner similar to the attractive, well-spoken individual who proceeds to light up a room, Space Ghost lights up your mouth with an emerging warmth. There's no lip-burning scorch like I've encountered with other capsicum-influenced beverages, but you definitely know there's heat involved. Aroma has chocolate and oven-baked green peppers, and the green veggie influence is in the taste and finish, too. While I did enjoy it, I've also learned to be kind to my sexagenarian stomach, so I stopped after a few ounces. Imbibed at the source in Amherst, WI.

22 oz bottle. Pours nearly pitch black in color and topped by a small, smooth tan colored head of foam that settles quickly to a thin film. The aroma shows notes of dark chocolate, dry roasted malts, light bitterness, and a big dose of vegetal chili peppers and spice. The aroma doesn't really foreshadow the heat that lies in the wait though. The flavor follows and shows the dark chocolate, roasted malts, and a touch of caramel sweetness up front followed by some light bitterness and a big rush of heat and spice from the chili peppers. It definitely warms things up as the heat lingers with each subsequent sip. Medium bodied and fairly smooth with moderate carbonation that leads a dark chocolate and dry, roasty finish with lingering warmth and chili pepper spice long after the final sip. 4 oz. pour, on tap at Grizzly’s in Plymouth, Minnesota. Consumed on 1-14-17. Dark brown with taupe head. Roasted malt smell. Sweetness in aroma. Perhaps some pepper scent. Dry, roasted malts plus light to moderate pepper. Medium body, light for ABV. Frothy in the palate. Not bad (good in fact) but could’ve been a lot better. Lacks in substance.
