Bottle at my hotel in Cascais - April ’12.
Pours a mid black colour with a tan brown head that soon departed. Reddish/Brown when held to the light.
Not a lot doing on the nose ! A touch of roasted malt and maybe, just maybe some fruit !!!
Sweet malty in taste not a lot else.
Carbonation OK - easily drinkable and a change from the low grade lagers on offer, but never going to set the world alight. If that were the case this would be a suitable stout to put the fire out!!! Cunningham (8079) - Halden, NORWAY - AUG 4, 2012
Black colour with a light beige head. Mild chocolate and roasted aroma. Rich but still a mild flavour. Chocolate, vanilla and some roasted malt flavour.estpiwo (1319) - ESTONIA - JUL 24, 2012
[Bottle from local grocery store in Lisboa, Portugal]
Bottle. Dark brown body with some light creamy head. Aroma of roasted malts. Caramel, coffee in flavor, roasted malts also. Light coffee finish. Drinkable, but not so powerful. AirForceHops (7339) - Epping, New Hampshire, USA - JUL 22, 2012
Paid 4.89 Euro for a six pack of 330 cl. Bottle in Praia De Victoria, Azores.
Real dark black in color with beige, soapy head. Spotty lace down the mug. Average carbonation. Nice nose of mild roasted and chocolate malt.
Taste is caramel sugar, chocolate malt and a light coffee finish. Molasses notes. Very thin body. To the point of being watery. Short roasted finish. You for sure need to think of this as a Dunkel, really not a stout. That being said, it is drinkable and doesn’t have any major flaws. Ok. OllieBBommel (1531) - NETHERLANDS - JUL 22, 2012

Cream colored foam head, shrinking. Dark brown color. Aroma sweet, hops, some roasted malt. Taste mild, some bitter, some roasted malt. Palate refreshing, not lasting. Overall not a real stout, but worth trying
Bottle. Very dark brown to black-colored with a medium beige-light brown head. Malty aroma with toasted bread, caramel, some roastiness and coffee notes. Sweet caramelly flavor, somewhat sugary, with some vegetal notes, chocolate hints and light sourish touches. Finishes drier with a faint roasty note. Medium-bodied. OK. kerenmk (4802) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - JUL 6, 2012
Bottle. Pours dark red-brown, opaque, off white bubbly head. Sugared coffee aroma, a little roast but too faint to mention, really. Tastes softly bitter, somewhat artificial. Light-to-medium body, carbonated, a little roast in the finish. ads135 (4731) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - JUL 2, 2012
Not a terrible beer by Portuguese standards. Calling it a true stout is a bit of stretch, but it has a medium body, dark color, and a sweetish, coffee flavor. Tried in Portugal during my trip with Kent and Dave in 2012. Hamingjur (1) - - JUL 2, 2012 does not count
As good as stout should be, nothing fancy just a pure stout, nice bitter after taste with a smooth feel kingstoni (2120) - FINLAND - JUN 26, 2012
Bottle. Black with a beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate and nuts. Smooth texture. Medium to full body. Some sweetness in taste.
