"Super Bock Stout is a black beer, produced from special malts which give it a distinct flavour and aroma, and a long-lasting creamy head. It differs from the other black beers on the market because it is richer in extract, more full-bodied and with a more complex (almost fruity), not-so-roasted taste and aroma."

Bottle. Strange sweet, buttery maltiness. Very light. Tastes like a raisin or fig soda. Not a stout. Not a good beer..

[bock] Dark malt bubblegum aroma with slight roast and dried fruit. Opaque black with a lacy, light brown, thin cover. Weak roasty flavour with a touch of caramel and ending on a toasty note. Moderately bitter. Light body, moderate carbonation, clean finish.

Good looking with a deep dark body, ruby tinges and a light tan coloured head. Not enough bitterness in the taste for me to truly appreciate it as a good stout, sweet, a touch thin, mainly malt characters showing. Some coffee on the nose and not a lot more.

ALLOVATE (3015) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - AUG 13, 2005
This was a welcome break in between tastings of some bland and boring ciders and is a well overdue new direction for this Portuguese brewer. Tasted from the bottle and poured into a tallboy glass. Deep, dark ruby-cola brown with a ½" fluffy tan head that persisted for the length and left a little lace. Rich, clean and inviting nose, cooking chocolate, powdered cocoa and molasses with a little aniseed. Quite dry in the mouth, delicate and smooth with lightly roasted grain and dusty cocoa powder, pasty yeast and a hint of burnt malt. Finish has a little length, malty and dry with a chocolaty hint that lingers between mouthfuls. A little light in body, it seemed a bit of a hybrid between a Munich Dunkel and an Irish Dry Stout, but without definition it was quite a nice and balanced, malty beer. A decent drop!!!

A creamy but at the same time not so heavy beer. A dark beer for the not so cold days of the portuguese winter.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours a black colour with a good sized creamy tan head. Slightly roasted, malt chocolate caramel aroma. Medium bitterness, medium-full body, slick texture, soft carbonation. Pretty good overall.

Bottle. Bought in Macau. I notice that sugar is one of the ingredients. That’s pretty unusual. It tastes pretty sweet and isn’t all that bocky. It’s only 5%abv. Sticky with lots of malt - it’s more like a dunkel or porter. Very enjoyable. Didn’t detect much hops. Enjoyed while wandering around Macau’s Fortress de Guia.

A dark brown almost black colored beer with a thick beige head. The aroma of some coffee with some burned malts. The taste has hints of chocolate with coffee. It’s a little bitter but it moves to sweet. The aftertaste is mostly sweet.

Pours a black colour with just a little bit of brown head. A slightly sweet smell, although not particularly strong. The taste has initial notes of coffee followed by some bitter, slightly sour notes and then a sweet, malty aftertaste. It’s not particularly full of flavour, considering the style, but it’s still quite pleasant. I could definitely drink it all night.
