"Super Bock Stout is a black beer, produced from special malts which give it a distinct flavour and aroma, and a long-lasting creamy head. It differs from the other black beers on the market because it is richer in extract, more full-bodied and with a more complex (almost fruity), not-so-roasted taste and aroma."

UPDATED: NOV 23, 2013 Color is brown to dark. Head is artificial and thin. Quite common to get in portugal. A bit artificial.

Flaska. Mörkbrun vätska med ett fint beigt skum. Dofter av rågbröd, choklad, mörk sirap och malt. Smakinslag av kakao, plommon, malt och svagt av honung. Torr munkänsla. Medel mot liten kropp. Lätt beska.

Consumed a few bottles of this at a beach front café in Olhos de Agua, Portugal whilst watching the waves crash on the surf under a clear blue sky and 30 degree temperatures in mid October. A dark brown coloured pour with a medium beige head on top. Roasty, malty, coffee aroma and taste. This was actually acceptable in the beer desert that is the Algarve.

Bottle. Pours dark brown with a brown head. Light bodied, sweet brew with just some malt. Not surprised now when I see that it contains sugar and colouring...

Fazit: Gut! Test vom 6.4.2009, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 13,11,10,12,12,11 - 11,25

Beese (3306) - Watford, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - JUL 27, 2007
Pours a black colour with just a little bit of brown head. A slightly sweet smell, although not particularly strong. The taste has initial notes of coffee followed by some bitter, slightly sour notes and then a sweet, malty aftertaste. It’s not particularly full of flavour, considering the style, but it’s still quite pleasant. I could definitely drink it all night.

super bock sampled 6/5/10 on a portugese binge... nearly black colored brown with a tannish head and spotty foam. there is a slightly burnt smell along with molasses, roast, caramel and coffee-like nuttiness. the flavor is the same with a light bitterness on the finish. not nearly as sweet as the aroma lead me to believe. the light-medium body with lively carbonation. 6/4/6/3/12/3.1

Bottle. Strange sweet, buttery maltiness. Very light. Tastes like a raisin or fig soda. Not a stout. Not a good beer..
