A dark reddish brown beer with a thick dark brown head. In aroma, musty sweet caramel malt with light chocolate notes, so-so. In mouth, a sweet caramel malt with no roastiness, colour added, faint memory of chocolate, sad. Bottle from a bistro in Castello Sao Jorge, Dec. 30 2012. bierkoning (13615) - La Tropica/Doarp, NETHERLANDS - MAR 24, 2006
Very dark colored. Milk chocolate and grapes in the aroma. Thinnish but pleasant. Roasted malt in the flavor with milk chocolate and grapes. Dogbrick (13564) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - DEC 23, 2009
Sample at the Eurostash II tasting on 12/12/09: This beer is a nearly opaque brown-black with a medium tan head that dissipates steadily. Thin rings of lacing. Roasted malt in the nose with notes of chocolate. Medium, smooth body with flavors of chocolate malt, caramel and a bit of sour fruit. The finish is roasty with a short malt aftertaste. Not sure if they were shooting for a Bock or a Stout, but it is just average overall.

Bottle. Pours nice dark with a deep red edge. A small fizzy beige head. Sweet aroma with a roasted edge and a feel of wet dog. Low carbonation. Flavour is surprisingly fruity with a light roasted edge - quite dry bitter at the end. Round but a touch thin. Pinball (12264) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - FEB 13, 2010
Thanks RuneB for bringit this bottle home to me from Portugal.
Very dark brown, dark brown head too. smooth, but fluffy and grows smaller quite fast. still very nice for a macro stout.
aroma is faint roasted grains and licorice.
flavor is roasted malts, dark chocolate, licorice, caramel. This is actually a pretty decent well tasting "low alc" stout. easily as good as some of the english ones. mild but still with ample roast, licorice and other flavors to keep you interested.
