Bottle, 0.33l. Clear golden pour, two finger soapy white head. Average head retention and lacing. Generic smell of grains and corn pretty much speaks for itself about just how incredible this one is going to be. Thin body with average carbonation. Texture surprisingly not completely watery, it has some thickness to it. Sticky mouthfeel. Malty sweet taste, even sugary. Some faint bitter notes later on. Basic aroma of grains, malt and corn. Meh. Overall, quite boring. Not offensive, but really empty and bland. However, still drinkable when served cold. Oh well.

330 mL bottle we got from some stand in Hauptplatz. The girl that was working it was fantastically attractive, and that might’ve influenced our decision. The pour is a darker golden yellow with a thin layer of white head when poured into a small glass. The rest was enjoyed from the bottle. The aroma is interesting. There is a graininess and a strong wheat to it with a light malt and a hint of hop. The flavor is a little different. There is a lingering sweetness throughout that I just don’t necessarily care for. There is a grassiness and a strong metallic sweetness. The mouth feel is oily and slick with a soft carbonation and a lingeringly sweet malt. This just isn’t good, no matter how it’s consumed. Ugh

Light malt, grain on aroma. It pours a golden clear body with a one finger wide white head. Taste is fairly sweet, with light hops and grass. Medium carbonation, watery to oily texture, thin body

Bottiglia.

The looks of the beer are good. The beer looks exactly like a pilsener should loo like. The color of the beer is a nice golden yellow. The beer is crystal clear. On top of the beer a nice layer of rough white foam is formed. The bulk of the foam collapses quickly, leaving hardly any drape. The smell of the beer is quite mild. There is hardly any smell. I smell some very mild malts and some clearer bitters from the hops. That’s it. There really isn’t anything else. The taste is better. It is a nice tasting beer. There is a nice rather sweet malty flavor at first, balanced out by some lovely bitter hops. The hop aroma’s are simple. They are good in providing bitterness, but not a lot of flavor is derived from it. It is a better pilsener than Heineken though (my 0 reference). I would serve this on a party or something like that. The palate is fine. Light body, medium carbonation and a nice bitter finish. All in all, a very good pilsener.
