Towey1989 (2818) - Stoke On Trent, Staffordshire, ENGLAND - JUN 18, 2017
Bottle at Beerdock Leek. Pours a deep brown to black colour with a medium tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, dark chocolate, some fudge, slight biscuit, a little dark fruits, a little soy sauce and subtle Turkish delight. Taste of dark chocolate, caramel, some soy sauce, slight fudge, a little liquorice, a hint of alcohol and subtle dark fruits. Full bodied and an oily texture. A long, slightly warming, chocolate bitterness in the finish. Strong, warming and complex, expected from an imperial stout. Fudgey to begin and umami too finish. Very good.

Taste comprises soy sauce, spice, charr, light roast, dark chocolate, toffee. Medium + bodied, fine carbonation, rising aclohol in the close. Low end for the style ... Ok sipper but pretty basic.
