Costa Ricans have been enjoying this beer since 1924. Imperial is created from a balanced formula combining malts, grains and hops, without a pronounced overtone in its taste. It is what is known as a “centralized” beer. Adapted to a warm and spring-like climate, Imperial is Florida’s most popular and widely accepted beer, both nationally and internationally, and has thus become the favorite beer of Costa Rica.

Bottle@San Jose, Costa Rica. Golden beer with a strong frothy white head. The aroma is yeasty and dry, and the flavour is dry with gentle watery yeastiness. Overall an average pale lager. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

If you’re looking for a refreshing, crisp cerveza, this is not a bad choice. The flavor profile is less bold than a Corona or a Bohemia, but squish a line down the bottle and enjoy the sand and sunset.

Bue d’une bouteille achetée à l’ONU (Genève) directement à la délégation du Costa Rica. Belle blonde un peu acide. Pas de mousse. Très agréable. Se laisse boire tout en n’étant pas non plus une merveille.

From the 12 fl oz bottle. Yellow pour with small short lasting head. The aroma is of pale malts, corn syrup maybe, and grass. Light body. The taste is also rather syrupy with a mildly clean finish. About what I expected.

Bottle. Clear near-transparent yellow color with white head. Aroma is very neutral, a bit of corn, but hardly anything there. Taste is sweet, corn,. Medium carbonation. Watery mouthfeel. Just alright, neutral.

wombat23 (1511) - Texas, USA - SEP 27, 2016
Shared bottle. Clear straw, white head. Aroma and taste is that of a typical macro lager. Mild all around with a little bit of skunk.

Aroma: typical bready pale lager aroma; Appearance: clear pale straw with thin white head that hangs around; Taste: follows nose with additional sweet apple juice flavor; Palate: light bodied with short finish; Overall: could be worse, but definitely only drinking this for the Costa Rica tick.

Can pour, half a finger head. Basic AAL smell and flavor. Overall, I liked this beer. I could drink this all day long. Reminds me of Pabst a little bit.
